Lol, nope.

@JasonC I tried that myself and failed. So I've been attempting to edit them into something intelligent but that only is possible half the time...
Ha, well
Poor phrasing. I am now ashamed for the second time today.
Oh, yeah
@JasonC No, I think I understood you the first time? Maybe I'm misunderstanding your misunderstanding? :P
I misunderstood your understanding, then you reasonably misunderstood my misunderstanding, and now nobody understands anything any more.

@Pro fix smokey plz :D
what should I fix?
@ProgramFOX the "MS" link for manually reported posts is borked
Looks like a Metasmoke bug. @Undo ^
8:06 AM
Maybe just omit the "MS" in those cases?
@ShadowWizard The "MS" thingy is supposed to be there, to link to the post on Metasmoke.
@ProgramFOX yeah, just checked older reports and it's there for manually reported posts as well.
So the bug is that the URL of the manually reported posts is lost somehow. (i.e. I don't think it's Meta Smoke bug.)
Either it's a bug with Smokey communicating with MS, or a bug on MS's side. I have no experience in either part :P
@ProgramFOX yeah, blame others.... :D

Q: Filter that has worked for a year just stopped working and now takes me to an error page

jfriend00I have a filter that just stopped working yesterday and I can't figure out how to make it work, how to edit it or how to remove it because trying to select the filter just takes me to an error screen. This is the URL for the filter: http://stackexchange.com/filters/150086/socket-io When I try...

I've seen more like this, can't find them now, probably nuked by Roomba after not getting upvotes.
But this one is worse: the whole page is broken, not just some of the filters. Reported on meta.
True. Something poisoned the filters for real this time... :/
relax, it's only monday, you have a whole week to go through ...
It's all downhill from here
@Telkitty considering Shog posted answer to a bug "wait three weeks and it will resolve itself", we might have to wait longer.
2:41 PM
@ShadowWizard But Monday morning is a great time for zaq, I could not but reminding this fact
@Telkitty who said it's morning for him? :)
Oh hey @zaq you can now start a big bounty of 200, 2 of 100, or four (!) of 50. ;)
why do you ask zaq? ;)
@Telkitty because he might be upset I ask him dumb questions.... :P
But if you think I am mean, you just have to tell me @zaq, deep inside I am a really nice and friendly kitty. I promise ...
^ It's a trap!!!!
2:45 PM
Nice, friendly, and cute kitty.
I take back my words.
@Bart Ssh ... don't disturb my prey
@ShadowWizard Too late, Nick already fixed the bug.
2:52 PM
Oh, you mean I have the rep for that. Well, I wouldn't be able to give four bounties of 50 because one needs 75 to offer a bounty.
You have been smart for once today, but you need to wait 48 hours before you can offer bounty to the question
@zaq whoops, yeah.... but your bug might get enough upvotes by the time you give the first 3 bounties. :D
since zaq didn't ask anyone to be nicer, I will just assume ...
@Telkitty nah, @zaq never offers a bounty on his own questions. He spends it on questions he values more.
@qwer why are you pointing right?

Not sure, but think yes.
My gut is to say "well there's only one way to find out", then ha ha, do it, omg the message goes on the star wall, oh ha ha, jazz hands, blah blah, so many lols, etc. But I feel like that's probably been done already. And also, I forgot what we were talking about, attention span exceeded.

@zaq indeed, the "DisplayName" field of chat is static, filled once when a message is created and not synchronized with the actual display name. Very useful to find past names. :-)

Wow. Google just stays killing good products. Google is discontinuing 'Hangouts On Air' in favor of YouTube Live http://thenextweb.com/apps/2016/08/15/google-hangouts-air-youtube-live/
@zaq or you're special, hence someone made that extra step.... ;)
The process of deletion of chat profiles is woefully undocumented. Can one request it along the site profile deletion? How to request it later, when main site profile no longer exists? Is there a rep threshold beyond which mods can't delete it, the way it works for site profiles? Etc.
9:29 PM
Also, all of the above may be different for chat.SE (same chat account for many sites) and chat.SO (a chat account linked to specific site, using the same userIDj.
@zaq complicated probably because ordinary profile deletion went through lots of changes, while chat profile deletion didn't, code wise. They probably didn't want to spend extra time on something rarely used, preferring to do it manually when needed.
(after all, how many users who are/were active on chat ask to delete their profile? Not many.)

I think this message is particularly of note:
in Root Access on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, yesterday, by random
If you see litter you can either keep on walking by or put your name to it and own putting it finally away into the landfill
random sees closed questions as trash.
most of the time they are trash
the borderline ones are usually alright in quality, but the easily-closable are usually trash
and keeping trash after the author has basically proven they would come back and fix it is just imaginary clutter
The wording suggests he has a duty to delete such content.
> put your name to it and own putting it finally away into the landfill
The problem is that I don't see any community consensus to do this at the expense of good content.
that good content is not wanted on the site, off-topic means it doesn't belong on the site
if it's off-topic and good quality, then look at finding a migration path, or it's just a prettier kind of trash
most off-topic questions are trash; a large percentage
The problem lies in the fact that the question has a really good answer.

@bwDraco the problem lies in the fact that the question looked like crap and no one was worried enough when it got closed to make it not look like crap.
