@Undo Congrats :) I've fallen to 15th

@Undo Still waiting for the Swimsuit Contest.

That's part of the election phase right?

Yep.

Bummer. I had mine all picked out. Now you guys won't get to see it

It worked.

That’s rather believable even.

so bjb withdrew? i wanted to vote for him

If I actually rewrote my nomination post instead of keeping the one that I typed on the fly on an Android at 4am right before the nomination began, I might have been better, but still no way of getting into the secondaries. :p

@JeremyBanks New moderator requirement: Must love chipotle.

@Roombatron5000 He...was forcibly withdrawn.

@Roombatron5000 He was forced out. Only 30 candidates proceeded to the primaries and he didn't have enough reputation.

3:32 AM
Qantas's nomination essentially eliminated them.

@AstroCB Rhythm method.

@Unihedro If I took my Meta participation out of my post, I would probably get a lot more votes.

@Roombatron5000 By vote, you hopefully mean downvote.

@Roombatron5000 Their nomination post is fancy.

@Roombatron5000 There was a brief period of time where I tried to force it to paragraph form. I immediately regretted it.

3:41 AM
I'm a little disappointed in @hichris123's nomination right now. He should have better emphasized his previous moderator experience (and gone into detail), and also listed a few stats up front. I know he would be a good moderator, but his nomination doesn't fully reflect that.

I wholeheartedly agree.

@meagar hmm, good technique, then the only thing that shows bold is your 40/40

Err, yes. That was my plan
Obviously.
It's not just that I hate abusing formatting or anything.

@JeremyBanks I just now actually read your latest nomination post. You're such a crowd pleaser, lol. If neither of us make it, next election it's me vs. you for the 99% vote.

I'll enjoy seeing what you come up with.

In theory, hichris should have beaten out this guy solely because he has actual mod experience.
At this point I'm just disappointed overall by the way people are voting.

The most surprising thing to me is @Astro's position. I think the low rep was the major issue, I know he's got the ability, and is extremely active.
Next time.

@JasonC Thanks, but I'm too new.
To be honest, I didn't expect to make it to primaries (the only reason I did is because of @rlemon), so I'm honored.
Overall, I think hichris is the least deserving of his position right now – he should be much higher.
@JasonC Oh, that ought to be good.

@AstroCB I must agree.

Martijn has such a lead on everyone else.
By over 1300 votes.

3:59 AM
I'm not going to name names, but I think there are quite a few candidates that are receiving more votes than they should based on their review queue activity and moderator experience.

Anonymous
At the current upvote ratios, Martijn and probably also meagar would be solid no matter what the specific STV vote distribution looked like.

Night!

@JeremyBanks Martijn was guaranteed from the beginning, but I'm beginning to thing meagar also has a spot waiting for him.

@Shog (or anybody) Do you know what the IP auto ban request threshold is? If I made a burst of 30 requests to /posts/id/vote-counts every 5 seconds would I get the boot?
Or I could spread them evenly over 5 seconds at ~150ms intervals, but a constant stream of 150ms requests seems like a bad idea.

@xkcdBot LOL Love that one

4:02 AM
@JasonC I get banned when I load anything more than 20 pages in less than 10 seconds.
But that's not an exact metric.

Hm, I suppose I could test it, the bans only last a few minutes anyways.

I think I loaded the close dialog 30 times and got banned once.
@JasonC $("a").click();

@AstroCB I got IP-banned for 30 seconds with your flag sorting userscript once. :p

I feel like I made it through about 100 review tab pages as fast as possible in about 5-10 seconds before getting banned with the activity graphs, but I don't remember.

Someone had hundreds of pages of items and tried to use it.
He got banned for a few minutes...

4:05 AM
I wonder if there's a way to get up and downvotes on every post in a thread in one go.

O_o

@JasonC I doubt it.

They load separately for a reason, I assume.
You could cache the vote counts for 10 seconds instead of five.
Since presumably they're not changing that much.

@AstroCB The sad thing is that his election will mean SO will for the most part "lose" Martijn.

Pretty much.
But somehow he already answers every other Meta.SO and Meta.SE question and does that insane amount of reviewing and still has time to be a top rep earner on the main site.
Maybe he's figured out cloning.
Or maybe his bots became sentient and took over.

4:21 AM
We'll see.
He seems to have the principle virtue of a moderator -- patience -- so he'll do well in that regard.

@Unihedro You mean the API /timeline? It doesn't show anything for the election page post IDs; and those posts don't have parent IDs either (at least not in sede).

I'm always almost confused when to delete a dead-wrong answer in review queue. Is it acceptable to delete wrong answer? (I have downvoted it) android.stackexchange.com/review/low-quality-posts/85072
It's technically an answer, so it's not NAA. It's low quality, but not VLQ enough.

4:58 AM
@AndrewT. Ethically, I don't think so. Whether the answer is wrong is not for LQP reviewers to decide. If you have delete privileges and decide to VTD the post on your own, that's a different matter, but the LQPQ is only for deleting posts that are not answers or are so ridiculously low quality that they are 95-100% unsalvageable.
