@starball couple of thoughts here - its an 'update' and I'd almost say the culture of 'we can just edit someone elses answer' isn't 'natural' to a lot of people, and certainly weaker than it used to be
on the other hand, it does give Phillippe a little visibility on Meta and that's pretty important
@Petəíŕd The Spring Wizard I’ve noticed that your English has improved since we met, and it’s pretty good these days; there’s a few minor grammar quirks, but nothing particularly significant.
@M.A.R. I've had fitbits for years now. The first two or so, I replaced when fancier, smaller devices came into being (and I had someone willing to give me some money for the old ones). The last two have broken way too soon though, both have severe battery issues where the battery suddenly doesn't last much more than a day. No gradual decline, just straight from 'charge once every 7-9 days' to 'charge every day'.
I got a newer fitbit model when the last one broke, but that one didn't even pair to my older model phone.
So I've decided to go get something completely different and wanted to check this one will likely pair to my phone :P
@Tinkeringbell my mom's one of those people who hangs on to phones till they get extra spicy pillows so when she got hers her phone wasn't compatible :D
@M.A.R. Heh. Yeah, we get low quality crap all the time! There was a news article yesterday about how it's even happening with groceries.. like fried fish filets that stay the same price, but fish is replaced with more breading without companies announcing that.
@Tinkeringbell here it became a trend to shrink the packages, e.g. wet wipes used to be 72 in package years ago, then 70... then 60... then 50... and these days 40. Of course, same price.
@Mithical Aaron with SEDE stuff and @Ham with a single bug with a big impact, yeah.
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda Oh they do that here too. Or even A brand names making their packaging the same size as off-brand products, but with waaaay less content. So you're buying air
