@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog heh, feels like it was yesterday.
Only a bit over 7 years since I joined, so never experienced it. Feels like never to me.
n00b :D
You missed all the fun!

@ShadowWizardLoveZelda Thank you. That is really crappy ! We have even no clue about the problem, so we try various things in vain. Have the people never heard about the principles of the Web, Web standards, accessibility ?!
10:42 AM
Hey @Sha do you know enough about cooking to answer this perhaps? :P
11:41 AM
@TheMaskedCucumber hehe, not really. But can't you upgrade the browser?
In the past SE used to work on any browser, at least the basic stuff like, well, posting questions and answers. But they ruined even that, and sadly nobody cares anymore.
I can see why they chose to switch to fancy JS, it's awesome and beautiful, the code is shiny and bright. But alas, it just doesn't work in old, or even not so old, browsers. And that's a real shame for SE.
Having code that check for that and still support basic functions is not rocket science, it's possible, and shouldn't be very complex, but management won't spend a single cent on this.
And that's the most annoying part.
@Tinkeringbell lol no... I make the basic stuff, like this. ;)
But I did read a bit now, and looks like you can ground the matzoh meal to make it have texture more like ordinary flour, and so it can be used for anything that requires flour.
If I'll have time/will to read some more and get sources, might post answer. :D
12:00 PM
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda so basically some of meats and flours are interchangeable?
orders matzah brei from @Shadow
@Petəíŕd The Spring Wizard of course.
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda ah, nice! I need to try it some time.
haha @Sha if you google "from the darkness great light would emerge" with quotes, you'll get your network profile! ;)
yay! See? Knew there's a reason to leave it. :D
12:16 PM
Where's my matzah brei? ;)

@ShadowWizardLoveZelda awesome :)
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda This blocking problem occurs with Safari on a Mac bought new from Apple in 2022. With an iPhone in iOS 15.5, is there a workaround ? Would the problem occur with any Web navigator in this iOS ?
@TheMaskedCucumber think it's due to browser version, not device or OS. Can you check the Safari version?
Also, 2022 is old by now, in web standards.
Nice try, won't join that site, not even to report spam.
2:26 PM
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda How to see my version of Safari on iOS ? Safari is so tied to iOS that we say Safari on iOS 15.5. All Web navigators on an iPhone have the same engine ?
ah, dunno. Let me see...
@TheMaskedCucumber yeah, you're correct. Well, looks like that in order to use Stack Exchange you have to update the whole OS, or buy a new device.
Luckily they still support Windows 7. Though I won't be surprised if they won't, and demand users to upgrade to latest Windows as well.
they don't support windows 7 as much as supported browsers support it :D
and they do best effort fixes
meh, they might start using some fancy dandy OS stuff at some point.
(browser does also send OS info, I think.)
@JourneymanGeek no, they don't.
They clearly said "not supporting older iOS versions". Period.
well then they don't support it :D
Oh I mean windows 7
@JourneymanGeek ah
Well yes they still fix some bugs, sometimes, yeah.
2:37 PM
or whatever that old old browser they keep fixing things for was
Mostly, if not all, new bugs introduced with new bad builds, but yeah.

A: Why can't old PCs view modern sites?

Journeyman GeekAs of 2019, and a few years before, there's another factor. Any modern, secure site would have some flavour of TLS encryption, and be hosted over HTTPS. The browsers of yore as linked below probably would simply not be able to load many sites - even 'simple' ones without some intermediary (See th...

5:39 PM
@ShadowWizardLoveZelda cooking is such a scam
Why would one cook something only to grind it and use it to cook something else?
6:14 PM
Yeah, much better to grind it and just ingest through a straw
@Tinkeringbell I'm just waiting for the futuristic society when we would all have protein toothpastes
Think of all the energy you would save not having to chew stuff for an hour every day
Maximum productivity
But chewing is fun!
We could even have food injected directly into our veins so we wouldn't need any breaks during work
Hey, you do you but I'm holding out for a 4 6hour long day work week with no cuts in wages or pension :P
