@JiminyCricket.: Interesting, this very topic was debated in early American history, the problem of mob rule. How do you suppose they addressed it? — MarxosJun 19 at 18:41
I always enjoy these posts, they're a guilty pleasure of mine
@bobble: Ultimately both, a proper voting model should be able to do away with all such "moderation". For example, people could "spend" their reputation if they wanted more power than the up/down vote. — MarxosJun 19 at 18:17
Ah yes, do away with rep-based moderation by replacing it with checks notes rep-based moderation.
Personally I think that question should not have been closed as opinion-based.
That's almost an absurd concept on Meta anyway, and it seems to have attracted on-topic answers (that say it's a bad idea)
So, COVID got me too, and the other two kids, so we're all locked in the house for a week. Well, wife can go out as she just recovered, which is lucky. :D
@rene sadly both daughters got it bad, high fever, lack of appetite. Son is fine, just more aggressive than usual but that's because he's locked down, not due to the COVID. lol
@rene nothing can twist my humor as it's too twisted already. :P
@curious wife while sick? Yes, but kids were all out every day, might got it from someone and gave it to me as bday present. (It's in three days ;))
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar say hi to the family from me then and wish them a speedy recovery. And they have to accept they get you locked-in as a "bonus" ;)
Actually I was moderator on a medium-scaled forum, and I don't remember how flags worked there. It was something really primitive, that's for sure, and we didn't have Meta site to ask for improvements. Only direct messages to the site owner, who naturally usually didn't respond.
