I keep getting "Too many requests" errors. I'm sending my auth cookies with the request so the system should know that I'm already logged in and that this is a legitimate user account... Is there any discussion of whitelisting logged in and established users from this check, since they're clearly not the ones who are making all the excessive connections?

It doesn't help that each SE site is on its own subdomain and Tor Browser uses a different exit for different subdomains.

Today, I learned that "Visited x days, y consecutive" is clickable.

@Mithical yeah, at first the developer just assumed it's useless and nobody ever using it, and only after Meta Uproar he realized people actually using and liking it, and I'm really really very much surprised it's back. Very rare case.

Now, each set was originally tied to one of the two separate users that were merged. Depending on which set you use, you get the chat account that was originally associated with that user.

If the user is the "main" merge target... you get a chat user that still works.

@for-the-love-of-soupless no cause, there is really server side cache of the chat profile, which can last up to one hour, unless moderator force it to synch.

Without mod can take anywhere between few seconds to one hour. With my sock it was few seconds, but don't think it's something I did.

Does reloading your own post cause the view count to go up? It seems to do that for me from time to time, which I don't think is intended.

It's certainly not consistent. If I refresh 20 times, it doesn't go up by 20 (only the first 5 or so?).

And it appears that I have to wait several seconds before the next refresh increments the count.

Although it doesn't matter for most posts, it's frustrating when I have a question with 17 views and I know a maximum of 11 of them were not me.
