As far as I'm personally okay with political discussion on here (which I might just ignore since I'm not really interested...), I just hope y'all don't make it too personally on here... (and well, be very careful if it's intended as sarcasm on this very hot matter)
@RandomPerson sure, the app is long dead, there is no point at all to keep old feature requests for it around. It's just noise, with no value whatsoever.
@Luuklag only if Putin was mod there. But he isn't, so it's same as the sanctions against his friends. useless and pointless, and won't have any real effect. ;)
And keep in mind there's folks we know potentially on both sides of both the battle line, and well politics
If there's anything that needs to be done with respect to meta, and in extension to the network we'll do what needs doing but stuff like "did anyone ask to close SE.RU" and such is not helpful :/
More to the point, ru.SO is not for Russian programmers - it's for Russian-speaking (writing/reading) programmers, which includes a lot of Ukrainians. Indeed, 2 out of top 8 users this year are located in Kiev/Kyiv.
