Can a high-rep user tell me what the upvote/downvote count on this question is? I can see that it has a score of -395 currently, but I'm curious what the ratio of upvotes to downvotes is. meta.stackexchange.com/q/375081
@tripleee any guesses as why smokey posted that islam post. Last activity on that thread was jan 6. And the MS link leads to a page with reports from 1 and 4 years ago.
Anyway, the "announcement" of homepage design change is #6 in "Worst Questions Ever" on MSE (based on score), would likely get to #4 soon. But won't pass #3 which is the infamous "apology" of David.
I mean, they did tell, and it just didn't get much attention until it was there. There may be a bit of a disconnect between what the people that generally use MSE notice vs. what is noticed once it rolls out across the network/to more used pages...
That's what too many companies do, give you stuff "for free" based on phone call, then a while later, require money for the "free stuff". And lots of money. Happened even to my boss, with the company phone devices. lol
only the Mathematica one of the Goldbachs is still up, and as noted earlier, only the first one of the med sciences
the Goldbach spams were extremely smelly also in that the "scientific journal" where the content is hosted is a Norwegian "climate, uh ... 'skeptics'" site
Agreed, all those jobs that are titled: "Senior XXX" offer a "competitive salary" but when you visit somewhere like GlassDoor to see what the average salary is it's too low - so a competitive salary is more than that, gee thanks.
@Fmbalbuena The proper syntax is !!/scan (url here, no parentheses), and Rob and Mithical linked you to those pages because they contain the list of commands that everyone can use, as well as how to use them.
If you'd like to report a post that you know for sure is spam, and Smokey hasn't caught it yet, pass it along to the folks in Charcoal HQ - They'll know what to do with it. You need to be on the privilege list with Smokey to manually report stuff.
i can only explain it to myself as people A have an entirely different way of seeing the world than I do. That or, the more likely scenario, it's crafted for a particular audience that doesn't include me
(or the avg user)
and when you spend your time writing content like that, it's likely easy to not transition to a style more appealing to a different audience
