Yeah, because otherwise unsavory users would choose a weekend to spam the site because they know it'll be a long while before an employee can arrive to give them a network-wide suspension.

I think in a (public) conversation (somewhere) it was mentioned that the general reasons are

1. SE needs to have someone handling payroll and such. They've opened up hiring to other places in the eurozone and such from my last rejection

2. Its apparently difficult to run a team across timezones

and in theory, if we have a network wide issue, we can superping a CM or two, or just superping the affected mods

To me (and I've been personally affected by the timezone requirements ....) Its more about 'knowledge' coverage and hiring the best folk no matter where they hang their hat. I know at least one other person who expressed interest in the past who'd be a good CM in future, and currently probably would be ruled out for geography

CM availability is best effort and has been anywhere from 'we can mug a CM whenever' in the good ol days, to 'there's never a CM around' (in the worst days) and somewhere in between (most days)

Turns out the third boost actually worked, COVID fourth wave in Israel is pretty much behind us. But... nothing is being done to prevent fifth wave, when new variant will arrive. No protocols, no research, nada. So still annoying...

@Rob well the third booster will hold the next wave for couple of months, then the new wave will hit in full force. Sadly, the way it's handled is beyond terrible, it just does not exist.

Ministry of education came with grandiose plan called "green class", but schools have no green idea what it actually means.

Good luck finding what it really means, i.e. what exactly school should be doing. Nobody was able to find, yet. :D

I'm trying to grok the point of that bump - whether its for mechanical stability (and the standard PCB mount has 2 more little bumps on either side, the same size as the pins) or cause extra travel is needed (but you could shorten the plunger)
