@bobble Well, 2 hours later and nobody else posted for ya, so I went ahead and did so.

@Glorfindel I think your script is doing some weird edits again: security.stackexchange.com/posts/181839/revisions
It's renames the hyperlinked text to "Link".

1:23 AM
Those links also weren't broken, unless I'm missing something.

Yeah they weren't but @Glorfindel is running a script to fix the user ID in the links since I had an account merge. The only issues are that 1) sometimes it replaces dead links that aren't actually dead with archived ones, and 2) it doesn't realize that a plain link to a question will automatically replace the hyperlink text with the title of the question.

Ah, I see.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (also known as T3) is a 2003 science fiction action film, the third installment in the Terminator franchise and a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, directed by Jonathan Mostow and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, and Kristanna Loken. In the film, Skynet sends a Terminator, the T-X (Loken), back in time to ensure the rise of machines by killing top members of the future human resistance, which will be led by John Connor (Stahl). Among the T-X's targets is John's future wife Kate Brewster (Danes), but not John himself, as his whereabouts...

@forestdistrustsStackExchange thanks for pointing that out. That is deliberate, there are a lot of bare links out there. But it should be turned off for links to other Stack Exchange posts on the same site, since these bare links are automatically rendered. I'll correct that.
About the dead links: those links were dead when the script encountered them. It just can't distinguish a site which is temporarily down with one that is permanently down, just like a real human.
Well, a real human could wait a day and see if it's still broken. That would be rather difficult to program, for a situation that only happens once in a blue moon and is easy to revert.

@ShadowWizardisVaccinating that bug of mine has more to do with lazy loading images without reserving the room fir them in the layout, making it jump. Here something is genuinly broken. — Luuklag Jan 13 at 18:46
So, they're both off-topic; if they're both identical.

You're still not making much sense. No question was off-topic.
You can clearly see that the link PallavSharma was trying to share with coworkers has that #<answerid> the answer to that post you just quoted Luuklags comment from is talking about. This is the link PallavSharma was trying to share: stackoverflow.com/a/64319712/1731459, which neatly redirects to stackoverflow.com/questions/804115/… which has that #answerid part.

Good luck linking a specific answer on Sandbox Formatting and not getting lost :D

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 All the pieces were falling into place, sunglasses, Bach, Terminator, and well you, our chat mascot. I originally snagged the pic to practice "Transform" function, to straightten your T-shirt. But my head was in teaching myself SQL, so I only had enough marbles to find you some grooo-vy shades. I thought the diamond encrusted ones might send the wrong message!

would it be out of place to mention this here?

Q: Sloshy the Thawman: A simple bot for keeping Stack{Overflow,Exchange} chat rooms alive

sloshyOn https://chat.stackoverflow.com/ and https://chat.stackexchange.com/, chat rooms will freeze after some two weeks of inactivity. While this is fine and status-bydesign, some rooms are worth keeping around for a longer time for various reasons; for example, some communities have rooms which are...

@tripleee Not sure what the point of mentioning it is? :P Nice name though!

it was discussed here a bit previously when I was struggling to get enough rep for the bot, if nothing else
actually I curse the day I came up with that name because it inevitably starts "Frosty the Snowman" playing in my head
which then invariably medleys into "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"

As long as it's not Rudolp the Red Nosed Reindeer.... :P

@GWarner Well, I'm impressed. And even more happy you think of me as the local mascot. :D
@Rob can imagine some use cases, yeah.
@Luuklag when school starts? Here it starts at 8:15, so I get up at 7, and leaving the house with the kid(s) at 8.

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 same here. But first I go across town to drop the boys off at daycare, then my daughter at school and then back home.
But usually I take a shower first, then dress all the kids, make their lunches and breakfast. Brush teeth, do my hair, get everybody their shoes on and then we are running late again xD
