how many non-mod delete votes will this take? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/16137/…
Come to think of it, might be served best by a historical lock instead of outright deletion
shame on my triggerhappy fingers

@Luuklag 7 more says my tooltip

I custom flagged it for a lock

1:42 PM
@Luuklag Good. That looks ideal for a historical lock. It doesn't really need to be deleted, IMHO. But maybe it ought to be migrated to meta.SO, if that's feasible.

@PM2Ring This old only a CM could migrate, but theres no real use in migrating anything that is already off-topic IMHO

@Luuklag Fair enough

@Luuklag I realize it is not Friday ... sorry that my comments are taken serious ..

If you do historical-lock it, could you remove the developers tag first? :D

1:58 PM
@Spevacus ping a Mod for that ;)
or custom flag the post as well
Last is best
@rene thursday funday?

yep, or I'm bored in a meeting ....

2:19 PM
bored outside of meetings here too...

2:35 PM
@Tinkeringbell You could always handle some flags ;)
Meeting still ongoing @rene?
It is not the fault of my age that users find my content of 2010 still useful. — rene 1 min ago

@Luuklag I did! Comment flags are my favorite :P

@Luuklag yep, that was during "de rondvraag". I'm unbored now

@Tinkeringbell Is it because it's easy to press the "delete" button? :)

Do some more ;)
@rene cool :)

@Spevacus delete, or decline :P
@Luuklag That's not a comment flag :D
I don't like those XD

2:47 PM
@Luuklag A colleague summarized the meeting: best 2 hours of my life

So it could have been an email?

Yep.

@Mithical I agree it is eternal Tuesday even on this lovely Thursday. :)

The weather is gorgeous here today. It was nice not having to wear a winter coat this morning.

I hope everyone is doing well. Daylight Savings Time starts here this weekend so I'll really be off on days and time next week.

2:51 PM
It was raining here a while ago, but now there's a bit of sun and loads of wind... makes me want to go outside instead of sitting here :(

I just need to survive tommorrow's afternoon shift and I got a glorious 4 day break :D

@Tinkeringbell yeah, stormy here as well.

@rene I didn't expect any different :P
@JourneymanGeek Nice!!
Besides sleep, what are your plans? :P

no idea

It's been lovely here the past couple days, spring weather, but it's going to be cold again this weekend. That's usually how March rolls in New York.

2:54 PM
Maybe go visit a park, look at jobs (something I've put off too long...)

Good luck @JourneymanGeek. I hope you do get to enjoy some outdoor time too.

oh yeah, go over and print out some match making profiles for mom to call when she's free. She had her second cataract operation
@Rosie I used to do that a lot between jobs. There's a few interesting ones.
littledayout.com/pearls-hill-city-park-hidden-nature-haven-town is the nearest but there's demolision going on on 3 sides :D

Nice. I used to get to go outdoors more than I have lately. My old apartment was between two beautiful parks and at my last job I worked near a park that I would sometimes go to for lunch.

Oh well. Time to run to a meeting. See you all later. :)

Good old times were we woudl got out for a walk with most of our co-workers every day
been a year or more since that last happened

@Luuklag Did you fall under the 'brabo-regeling' or did your lockdown only start when all the rest of the country stopped going to work in offices? ;)
Tomorrow (okay, officially Saturday but I don't count weekends) would've made it a year of WFH for me :)

3:03 PM
@Tinkeringbell the latter
Although I've been in the office last summer for a while

I should get out some balloons and decorate my chair for the standup tomorrow ...

@Tinkeringbell yeah, and order cake!

I refused to go to the office back then, because I would've had to take a train.
@Luuklag Ehh, that may be a bit too much :P

@Tinkeringbell fair enough
For me its only a 10 min bike ride

I'll keep the 'schranspartijen' postponed until my next few days off :P
@Luuklag That's nice too! I now have a car so maybe if we do get in a situation like last summer again, I might go for a day.... unless it's another one of the whiny teammates 'girl's days' XD

3:07 PM
@Tinkeringbell what are those!
Argh I hate our file system again!
about a dozen "conflicts"
where the system thinks my local file is different from the servers, whilst I haven't even accessed that folder since it was created :/

@Luuklag Oh, I must've mentioned those before, last summer... the whiny teammate wanted to me to risk death and take a train to the office, so we could have a 'girls day'. There wasn't anything we were working on together, I would've been no use to her and she would've been no use to me...

@Luuklag Maybe you have a virus? the computer one I mean ...

@Tinkeringbell sounds legit to request you to come over in that case ;)
@rene very unlikely on my work machine

(Our team is weird. It's basically two subteams in one team. She's on one, I'm on the other. It's basically so we can share knowledge of processes (that are often very similar) easily, while we're working on different software).

It even has an active AV running
@Tinkeringbell Sounds you guys need a Teams subscription for that ;)

3:11 PM
@Luuklag Probably won't be allowed, we must keep things very secret :P

@Tinkeringbell Enterprise version ;)
Haha very secret, Once an assignment asked me to keep contact information of participants very secret.
I asked if encrypting the excel with a password would suffice, and they said yes...

Hahaha

yeah indeed, I guess they don't know that those are notoriously easy to bypass using VBA etc.

3:57 PM
@Rosie hope you discussed some awesome feature for SE in that meeting? ;-)
@Rob nice find. Where is it?

4:45 PM
@Luuklag Done. Also removed the 'developers' tag for you all ;)

Rob
5:13 PM
@ShadowWizardisVaccinating I thought you'd like that. I don't know where that particular machine is, but that company sells their machines that way.

5:38 PM
@Rob thanks!

Q: Moderator Elections functionality: voting UI, commenting and flagging

Anita TaylorAs we mentioned In our Community & Public Platform strategy & roadmap for Q1 2021, we've been working on a project to make it easier for our community managers to run moderator elections for our Stack Exchange sites. As part of that project, we are releasing new features that will also make it ea...

That's really neat.
Also:
This is really cool. And I am particularly pleased to see that SE have finally realized that Yaakov Ellis is a super hero! — terdon 1 min ago

@terdon hero? Where? All I see is that one obvious troll nominee every election gets! :P — Tinkeringbell ♦ 15 secs ago

#GrootForMod2021

Can we not? It's already hard enough to understand people at times... I'm not going to try to determine the difference between "I am groot" and "I am groot" XD

🚽

Oh come on, that joke wasn't that bad.

6:59 PM
@Spevacus I. AM. MOD!
Or perhaps moot.

Close enough.

boom

Thank ya
