Q: Bug causing profile picture to change when moving comments to chat

The forest of Reinstate MonicaI have a profile picture set on site A, and a different profile picture on site B. Site A is my default parent site, so it's the one that should show in all chat windows. However the image seemingly randomly changes to that of site B when I click "automatically move comments to chat" on a particu...

It happened again. Are there any workarounds yet?

I'm at the point where I just don't want to click "continue discussion in chat".

If anyone is up to is - meta.stackexchange.com/questions/99338/… pro tem mods are elected now, not appointed

@JourneymanGeek it is unclear to me what you mean.

Oh the answer
> They moderate brand new sites as they launch, answer questions and attempt to communicate lessons learned on past sites. They appoint the Pro Tem mods, and hand the site off to them.
(I'm not having a great day, and put that there so I could find it later, if no one looked at it :D )

@JourneymanGeek so we need to change "They appoint the Pro Tem mods" to "They used to appoint the Pro Tem mods"?

or something reflecting the current status - that they organise and help instate them
used to isn't very helpful

I don't understand the current status, didn't delve into it yet, so will have to be somebody else editing. @Sonic?
@JourneymanGeek well still vital role they did for long years, so I think better at least mention it.

10:03 AM
Well, technically they are still appointed, seeing as they lose their status upon the first "full" election, and in case there are fewer nominees than slots, they "win by default" (i.e. are appointed into the position rather than being elected into it).
@JourneymanGeek I made the text more generic: "They run the process to obtain the Pro Tem mods"
...so it now doesn't refer to a specific method of getting them, just that they get them
Does it look good now?

would instate be better?

@Jour Stay or go could be reconsidered; but if it goes there's not much loss; as one of the questions points out, there's only room for 5 tags. --- Are all infrequently used tags bad ...

@Rob its less about rarity than whether it helps find the question more easily
(I'm also of the opinion that a creation of a new tag should include the creation of a filled tag wiki by default somehow so...)

@JourneymanGeek Yes, it should be the mandatory (punishment) for creating a new tag; geez, at least write the excerpt - then the tag might be burniated on the spot.
Another possibility is to rename the tag , merriam-webster.com/dictionary/promulgate

What happened to 'Vote for the content, not for the user'?

@Journeyman Was the comment on this post deleted?

@Ollie uh
it looks wierd

Yes, that's what I thought.

I think its an artifact of the spam flagging?

If the comment was deleted, then why does the link still show?

@Ollie known bug

@rene Found it.

6:01 PM
@Journeyman Can you burn this one?

Im not a dog but it's gone.

was going to say someone beat me to it

6:21 PM
@Tinkeringbell maybe ask a CM to remove the image from the imgur instance?

@rene Meh.
They're busy enough and it's not a really, really bad imagine. Just NSFW.

@JourneymanGeek not a fair race, @Tink can fly... ;)
@Tinkeringbell agreed, not worth wasting CM time on this.
If you're at work, or under 18, just don't look at the spam content, that's what they're masked for. :D
@Glorfindel gone with the Glor

She musta been pretty big!

@ShadowWizardisVaccinating Unless you're a mod, or you have a user script that removes the mask (which I do, makes it easier to participate in Charcoal).

@ShadowWizardisVaccinating That is offensive: they don't know how to apply makeup, one has prison tattoos, and the other has leech bite marks; makes 'Christmas Grandma' (on a suggested edit) 1-2% better.
Moderation isn't an easy job.
