@MetaAndrewT. From what I gather, the original purpose of that chatroom was just general blabbering.

The room owner pops in occasionally to keep it alive apparently, you could ask them if you like.

@ShadowtheHatterWizard If one small country is temporarily offline that's very important to them. If a large country or continent is offline that's more important; everything must be triaged and a priority assessed, and each one takes time from the remainder of the list.

There's plenty of status-declined of various importance, some more important than that; especially since it came back up shortly thereafter. You're not flogging a dead horse, you're flogging a live one.

Things like yourmailbox.nl/Files/10/178000/178647/ProductPhotos/MaxContent/… (actual mail boxes) have gained a bit more popularity in recent years, as those can be put on the outside and then you don't need to isolate the 'mail slot'.

Still, those only require a key to empty them, not for putting stuff in.

Caught by my GP (primary care specialist) very quickly and sent to hospital to sort out the drugs with cardiology monitoring me closely. Could have been serious but it was caught in plenty of time. Unfortunately the hotel and spa didn't have very good wifi, so it was very boring...

@TheTechExpertGuy There's nothing wrong with seeming or feeling new, but learning to "read a room", especially when you're new, is an important skill. If you want my advise: Don't wait until people tell you you did something wrong, make an effort to figure out for yourself how a site/chatroom/forum works before jumping in the deep end.

Long boring story. I have heart failure and had an upsurge in symptoms. They prescribed an extra drug to reduce the swelling which was the main problem, and the drug didn't agree with my kidneys (although it did also do what it was supposed to. Regular blood tests showed up the problem so I was whisked into hospital to have all my drugs stopped and reintroduced slowly under very close monitoring... Being bored was the main problem while I was in, especially with the rubbish wifi.

You can set Smokey up to notify you about reports from a specific site when they're sent to a specific chatroom. Sonic has signed up to be notified about all reports that come to this chat room that have spam on this site (MSE).

I don't know if you've done this yourself or not, but if you have, that'd be why you were pinged.
