@JohnDvorak too early

According to my bladder's behavior recently, it's never too early for toilets.
Keeps waking me up at night :(

@Glorfindel if you're not yet into the VRIJMIBO would you mind editing the dupe list based on this comment: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/356890/…

@rene done. I'm running a marathon tomorrow (my brother planned a route through the Weerribben) so no drinks today ...

@Glorfindel Good luck!
Thought about doing Chicago's 26.2 at one point.
Two questions:
Actually one bug one question.
When you search for user:-1 to bring up Community's posts, it shows all of Jeff Atwood's posts.

🚽

And second, is there a way to view the vote totals on the pending tag synonyms?

@Ollie Might be related to that bug that sent all the profile views that way, but you'd better search the site first... I have a random feeling that there is already something out there...

@Tinkeringbell Already doing that...

@Ollie You're slow then...

Q: Community user id interpreted by absolute value in search

αλεχολυτOn every use profile page the search bar on the top of the page already contains user:<id> text to simplify search for post of the currently visible user. But this doesn’t work correctly for the Community user: Instead of searching for posts owned by Community user I’ve got Jeff Atwood pos...

6:43 PM
@Tinkeringbell No, I just got that.
I was tag searching.
I wonder if "user:..1" will work ;)
Apparently not.

'search questions community user'. Top result, no tags needed :P
I often search more by keyword than tag, tbh.

Or [tag:tag:tag:tag]
@Tinkeringbell Are you a mod on AU?

Nope, not smart enough for that ;)

Oh
Me neither.
Why is their network profile still there? It's clear they're just trolling.

Mods can't destroy those. But we destroy the individual profiles and it automatically applies a suspension so the network profile is useless after 170+ sites ;)

6:51 PM
Oh good.
Yet another question:

Which community user is that?

The Community bot.

The activity tab lists 104 accounts to me though..

@Ollie I used to be (a mod on AU I mean, not necessarily smart enough to be one). Can I help?

And the network profile shows only Area51 XD

6:53 PM
@Terdon Pull out the big guns on this one.

Ah, ex mod I'm afraid. Big guns no longer available there. I flagged it though, it should be gone soon enough.

@terdon Good.

@Tinkeringbell They might be hidden and we see them cause we're mods?

@Tinkeringbell Yeah, I only see Area51.
I'm not quite at 10K yet.

@terdon Eh, usually that's shown as Accounts (Hidden: nr), right?
These are just 104 accounts, it seems.

6:57 PM
@Tinkeringbell Yes, but that's what seems to be happening here. I see 104 in the activity tab, but when clicking, which takes me to stackexchange.com/users/-1/community?tab=accounts, I only see Area51 listed.
@Tinkeringbell Click "View More" and you'll only see Area51

Yep.
That's weird though.

@Tink And it says, "On the server farm, mse.com";. Not https.

If they were hidden, we are supposed to see them on the network tab as well.

Yeah. Let me check with a regular user.

And someone just upvoted them.

6:58 PM
@Tinkeringbell Yep, confirmed that we do still see them on the network tab. I guess Community's special.

:D
I love it when people just take my word for things :P

Nevah!

Hahaha
You're more than right too.
Just today I managed to make a kid believe the cash I was bringing to the bank was going to 'Sinterklaas' XD

sdc things Tinkering

@Ollie No such command 'things'.

7:01 PM
;)
I have another question:
Why doesn't Community's Top Answers/Questions list show nothing? He's got an answer with 20+ votes here on Meta, and more on SO Meta.
In the network profile.

@Ollie this isn't a regular user. So who knows what the devs have tweaked to make it work?

And I can't get to his "Activity" page. It loads for a while, then gives me an error.

Most likely, they have set it up so that this user specifically doesn't show questions because if I remember correctly, some posts can be reparented to the community user under certain circumstances. In any case, the user isn't a real user, can never post anything so it makes sense it has specific limitations.

@terdon Good answer.
@terdon can you see this?

no

7:09 PM
Is that a bug?

No
:)
It's a bot! Why should it have an activity page?

@terdon Sure?
@terdon If it doesn't have one then why put a link there?

Meh. No, not sure. I just know that this isn't a normal user so it isn't reasonable to try and treat it as one.
@Ollie Because that's what user profiles have.
For all we know, there is code that says something like if(userId < 0){ forget the activity page}
But the fact that the community user has a negative ID, unlike every single other regular user, is a clear indication that it is supposed to behave differently. Why give it a special id otherwise?
You can see the activity page for the per-site profiles, by the way, it's only the main StackExchange one that fails.

@terdon It's a bot! Why should it have an activity page?

@Ollie Because otherwise curious folks like yourself would spend hours wondering why it doesn't? :P
point is: don't expect this user to be normal or to behave like others. It isn't supposed to.

7:22 PM
@terdon All this talk about SE bots is making @SmokeDetector feel left out.
I'll be going now
Ta!

What about me?

11:07 PM
@Ollie What's your favourite beverage?

@DavidPostill Eggnog.
Unless it's alcohol, which I only do at Christmas/Hanukkah. Spiced wine.

@Ollie Eggnog has alcohol in it
> 6 medium free-range eggs (preferably organic and as fresh as possible), separated
150g/5½ oz golden caster sugar
500ml/18fl oz whole milk
400ml/14fl oz double cream
350ml/12fl oz rum, bourbon or a mixture of the two, depending on your preference
freshly grated nutmeg, to taste

@DavidPostill Not my homemade stuff. Has to be for the whole family.
But when hiding behind the sofa, yes, it does.

Spoiler: That's @Ollie's monkey's name, Eggnog.
