@QueenieGoldstein I know you can run sql queries on github dataset (metadata, etc) on google cloud, but unsure for SE/SO. Probably possible? wouldn't surprise me if it was
@NordineLotfi that's actually not a bad thing
@JourneymanGeek yeah, but it feels weird, it's like I'm making an introduction to a book or something
Means that your work won't be duplicated and you are putting in effort into a solution
@JourneymanGeek :D I see
I feel like this might be a bug in upstream, but to be sure of that, i would need to try every raspbian images and flash each of them...
not that it's tons of work, but internet speed here is pretty bad hmm
I already tried 5; guess i should point that out hmm
12:27 AM
@JourneymanGeek any advice on how to make my post more readable? feel like it's getting cluttered...
12:39 AM
@NordineLotfi hm.i have a post like that from ages ago 😁

Q: Getting macro keys from a Razer BlackWidow to work on Linux

Journeyman GeekI picked up a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate that has additional keys meant for macros that are set using a tool that's installed on Windows. I'm assuming that these aren't some fancypants joojoo keys and should emit scancodes like any other keys. Firstly, is there a standard way to check these scanc...

@NordineLotfi I've seen more than a dozen edits within several minutes; while you're trying to answer it keeps saying that the question has been edited, really quite annoying because there's no way to see what has changed because it's within the grace period, so you have to reread the question - me, I just abandon answering.
@JourneymanGeek Thanks, I'll try doing it like that :D
@Rob I usually don't do this, but this is a special case :) (given i try and fail at fixing this, and edit my findings as i go...)
@Aibobot didn't knew that site! look original for some reason (the content i mean)
Cause it is
Its a pretty old web comic - and one in which you can literally see the art style improve over time :D

@NordineLotfi After a very quick search, someone who has no experience guesses, no bonjour? ---- gist.github.com/gbaman/975e2db164b3ca2b51ae11e45e8fd40a raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=199641#p1245860 youtube.com/watch?v=upY4Fusi4zI
1:54 AM
@Aibobot yeah checked older stuff on the site, it's pretty good! Thanks for the find :)
I actually didn't find those two link when searching (and i found *a lots* when i did...didn't link them all on my post though as to not clutter it too much)

Though yeah, i do have Avahi (which is the open source equivalent of bonjour on linux), which *should* work, but doesn't?

Although i think https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/73523/connect-pi-zero-via-usb-rndis-gadget-to-ubuntu-17-04?rq=1 might help, but might go to sleep soon, so I'll probably try this later :D

Thanks for the links btw, will check the video as i never found this one
Rob
Rob
✔️
I wouldn't trust avahi
2:14 AM
@Aibobot I don't! honestly wish there was other way to make this work beside using avahi...
uhhh
just use the IP

10:42 AM
@rene Hmm!
Since He is a CM now; and he might have long list of messages to check. I should just ping him and share the message link.
Hi @JNat Whenever you'll have sometime, please check my message
will do
11:32 AM
@TheLittleNaruto he has been one... quite a while :D

1 hour later…
12:51 PM
Lasted 21 hours of fast.
... that was fast
:D
Well better than last few years.
Maybe because I drank a LOT before.
Like 2 liters of water...
Lasted for the whole 25 hours only when younger. :(
I only lasted a few hours today, and I was sleeping the whole time
@TheLittleNaruto yes he gets a lot, he keeps all chat pings as a separate tab and comes back to them when he gets some time.
Email might be faster, but not for sure.
@JohnDvorak lol
@QueenieGoldstein OMG :D
@NordineLotfi Hebrew wink! ם is a Hebrew letter. But think ס is better: ס.ס
(it's not the English "o")
Hour later, can eat the soup now. Cya!
1:35 PM
Soup was yummy!
!!/soup
@ShadowWizardWearingMask No such command 'soup'.
Morning Shadow.
sdc coffee Shadow
@Ollie brews a cup of Macchiato for @Shadow
You have coffee in the morning, not soup!
1:36 PM
No coffee yet, too soon.
Really?
Going outside with kids, cya! :D
@ShadowWizardWearingMask :O that's nice! that might inspire me to use that one script for mapping unicode character, so i can use it
@Ollie fasted for 21 hours.
@SonictheMaskedWerehog Why is your post locked?
Just curious @Sonic
1:38 PM
@Ollie soup can calm your stomach if you do it when waking up (for those who have stomach ache in the morning) i do it sometime
@Ollie first time i see an answer to a post locked...usually it's the post who's locked? weird
Hmm...
The OP is also serving a suspension now, so I can guess why...
@Ollie mod? can't guess why beside that
@NordineLotfi פ_פ
sdc soup Shadow
@Ollie No such command 'soup'.
1:46 PM
With pepper/paprika, Shadow?
@Ollie no, that would upset the stomach. It does have vegetables, hummus, veal meat, etc.
Yum.
But I like my food hot hot hot.
Also I'm vegetarian
Don't eat meat.
Mostly...
@Ollie mostly?? Lol
1:49 PM
@ShadowWizardWearingMask I mean, maybe they consider eggs/fish as meat?
not sure though
Fish yes, eggs no.
I eat eggs allll the time.
@ShadowWizardWearingMask that one's nice, how would you name it?
@ShadowWizardWearingMask never tried soup with meat before. Usually i do vegetables only
tomato soup is simple to make yet very addicting for some reason
@NordineLotfi eggs can't be meat, but they do come from a living creature (same as cow milk for example) so there are those who won't eat it, dunno exact name.
There are dozens of categories...
@ShadowWizardWearingMask yeah i know :P but some consider it as same as meat because of (as you mentioned) that it come from a living creature
@NordineLotfi Hebrew letter "pe". פ
@NordineLotfi same category, yes.
Anyway, saying eggs are meat is like saying humans are cows. :)
1:56 PM
Well, some eggs do contain meat... those shouldn't be sold though
@NordineLotfi rare for me too, someone else made it for me.
@JohnDvorak bull's?
they do?? how does that look like
do you know if they have a particular name?
@ShadowWizardWearingMask gotcha :)
Some chicken eggs contain live chickens. With meat.
This one has a tortoise inside:
@JohnDvorak oh. didn't know those were sold too...I would have thought it would be non recommended as it could be malformed or mold-ridden (happen sometimes with Ducks i think)
I don't think you can sell them
2:02 PM
@JohnDvorak You didn't eat it, did you?
... never mind, you can totally sell fertilized eggs. Probably not in a supermarket though.
Rob
Rob
@Ollie How about fish eggs?
Err
No.
Fertilized chicken eggs are quite a bit more expensive than unfertilized ones, TIL.
@Rob yummy. Here in Israel it's called "ikara". ;)

Ben Popper on September 28, 2020
In an effort to rethink how documentation work, we recently introduced Articles, longer-form prose that can sit side by side with shorter Q&A. We sat down with team leads from across Stack to learn how this new features has changed their approach.
@Feeds no mention of their inspiration? Quelle surprise.
@JohnDvorak balut :D
TIL. Not Haram though - even for atheists.
@JohnDvorak I find it weird how something that might be rotten is more expensive than it's non-rotten counterpart...
like i can understand wine, cheese etc, but eggs?
@NordineLotfi blue cheese?
2:14 PM
I do suppose you could rot them yourself, but I've heard it stinks
blue cheese is molded, not rotten
wine is not rotten either. Different bacteria.
Not when it's been the victim of a kid's painting project.
Rob
Rob
How about a rotten harem?
ofc it stinks, they can't sterilize it like you would do for cheese, wine etc
unless they spend money in injecting something in each eggs to sterilize them...which i doubt they would
@Ollie it's a comments only lock, which is pretty new. We can still vote on the answer, just not comment. Not hard to guess that it received too many bad comments...
@Schwizzard Yeah, the OP is now suspended.
2:17 PM
@Ollie huh? How did you reach that name? ;P
Yeah last I looked at that question it wasn't too derailed. A lot must've happened in a short time for a comment lock and a suspension to occur.

@ShadowWizardWearingMask Here, if it's not caviar it's bait:

Updating online supermarket order, need more eggs and yellow cheese.
Yellow cheese? As in Edam?
@QueenieGoldstein brews a cup of Americano for @QueenieGoldstein
thanks
@ShadowWizardWearingMask It's to pay respect
its a 'meme'
4:19 PM
@QueenieGoldstein LOL!! had no idea. :D
@John here's a better picture:
Just plain yellow cheese. That's the only thing my kids like. :/
No Edam, no Mozzarella, etc.
Where I live, Edam is plain yellow.
So I buy like 800 grams every week.
No red wax thing like the Dutch do.
@JohnDvorak oh, let me check then...
hmm..... looks like it's plain, but it has a different texture and taste, pretty sure my kids won't like it.
I brought them several brands, they like only the most basic.
Which is good, it costs less than half of the others.
It's about $10 for a kg.
Same here. Maybe it's time for Netherlands to sue our naming conventions?
> It's only an Edam cheese if it's made in the Edam village in Netherlands. Otherwise it's just a colorized block of fat.

@ShadowWizardWearingMask did you flag the comments as well?
@Spevacus :3
@rene huh? Nope. Didn't check comments actually.
They all look pretty chatty tbh
Like 99.999999% of the comments...
I usually don't flag obsolete comments, just not worth the time IMO since there are so many. :/
That is the golden rule of editing: flag everything ....
5:58 PM
hehe
Flag first, ask later?
yes, that works
!!/monkey for Rob and Ollie
@ShadowWizardWearingMask No such command 'monkey'.
6:25 PM
@ShadowWizardWearingMask On the contrary I used to enjoy flagging old comments (even a minute old and irrelevant) LOL, but now i dont
does anybody here play any online multiplayer games?
6:57 PM
@rene Flagged 'em. Some are poof'd now.
Well, I flagged a lot of them, anyway. Not all.
7:09 PM
used to play a lot of those couple years ago. Basically tried them all (anything before 2015)...

Can't enumerate most of them because i forgot their name though :/
@QueenieGoldstein Contact, Codenames
7:35 PM
@QueenieGoldstein one, on phone. Castle Clash. (not Clash of Clans) :)
@NordineLotfi even Mu Online?
posting political shtuff in various discords has become more fun than most mobile apps
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Spam? Why didn't y'all leave some for me to flag? Also, I don't want the monkey.
@ShadowWizardWearingMask yeah :D didn't play that one much though
@QueenieGoldstein i play a lot of online multiplayer games... but none of the short pvp things like overwatch/dota etc. usually play sandbox games, and WoW

Rude note at the beginning of the question: retrocomputing.stackexchange.com/questions/16346/…
8:06 PM
Is the "follow post" feature a vote-type?
Ah
So then why doesn't it show up in the VoteTypes table in SEDE?
8:28 PM
> Users (with the exception of moderators and authorized staff) will not be able to see this information about other users (nor will it be made public in the API, SEDE, or data dumps).
8:38 PM
too bad teh same doesn't apply to bookmarks
Can you see who voted to close a question when you are reviewing such an item?
Before you pass judgment, I mean.
don't think so, unless an autocomment is produced
Another question (yes, really):
When you follow a post, do you get notified of every edit that is made on that post? Including the ones under 6 characters.
i would assume so, since the OP gets notified of those too.
Or at least I don't.

@JohnDvorak aren't these board games? I read up the description of "Contact" , it's the same as SpelleX board game which i used to play (and sometimes make random words and say that they exist :P )

They can be played really well through chat
@ShadowWizardWearingMask How's castle clash? have you played clash of clans?....(btw I am a TH10 max lol)

@user400654 Well, if the follower does get notified of edits under 6 characters, then...
@user400654 Sandbox like....MS flight sim? Kerbal Space program(this one is epic)..? which ones, I like sandbox games more than FPS / RPG etc.
ksp, minecraft, stationeers, space engineers, that kinda stuff
also like arpg's, PoE is the primary one i play, but occationally (once a year) i'll play D3
wolcen was a train wreck

@QueenieGoldstein only CC. It's the kind of game that confines you with stuff like daily events and free gifts, and try to lure you constantly to buy things with real money, but thankfully I resist this. Only recently I came to know the people around me in the game, using app called Line.
Was surprised to see others above 30 y/o there, even some older than me.
