@Rob might be true, but I'd say main usage of toilets is for the frontal stuff. Though on second thought, it doesn't usually make the toilets dirty. ;)

Rob
~50% of the people sit.

I just ran a poll about it.

Rob
Was it runny?

Glad to know I was in one of the tiebreaker categories :P

Rob

It's split turdy tree and a turd between sit and stand.

worst is when you have to transit from standing to sitting ...

Rob
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Skewing the results is that some toilets are designed not to be sat on, and in some parts of the world they are popular:
A squat toilet (or squatting toilet) is a toilet used by squatting, rather than sitting. There are several types of squat toilets, but they all consist essentially of a toilet pan or bowl at floor level. Such a toilet pan is also called a "squatting pan". The only exception is a "pedestal" squat toilet, which is of the same height as a sitting toilet. The user of a sitting toilet can also squat, but this requires extra care as such toilets are not designed for squatting. A squat toilet may use a water seal and therefore be a flush toilet, or it can be without a water seal and therefore be a dry...

@Tinkeringbell :D

@Rob :(

Wait... you sometimes stand?! @Tink
Oh, when it's dirty?

4:18 PM
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Yeah..

hehe
@rene depends what you got
@Rob meh, doubt any of my followers or those who voted in the poll use such toilets. ;)

@ShadowWizardWearingMask lucky I didn't vote it then ;p

Also, does a hole in the ground count as Squat toilet? That's what I had for some periods of time during army. @Rob
Other than that, only "modern" toilets for me. :P
@MetaAndrewT. well you can always add a comment. ;)

> im already stack

not yet overflooooooooooooo---

4:28 PM
toilet overflow?

Rob
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Try the centrifugal toilet:

@JourneymanGeek Do you see deleted comments like how 10K+ rep users see deleted posts?

kinda sorta
there's a way to see it but its not visible by default

@JourneymanGeek you need to toggle on the visible mode?

there's a thing we need to click on to show it
which is good, especially on meta

4:32 PM
I assume you click on it on regular posts?

👍

@ShadowWizardWearingMask That air cooler is a scam, a fan and case worth a few dollars; sold for more than a real Air Conditioner, but on sale for 50% off - it runs on ice cubes:

@Rob not those ice cubes?

Rob
Correct, you have to supply your own.
Previously sold as the cat pee air freshener.
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Water-T.

@Rob I gotta admit... that is cool idea
Correction: it is an ice idea.

@JohnDvorak If by any chance you thought it would be very effective here's the same design for 1/3 the price: walmart.com/ip/…

I never said it was a good price.

Rob
... and they also sell the other unit for a bit less than the manufacturer does.

OTOH... doesn't it mean your refrigerator has to work harder, and the net effect would be negative?

Rob
Opening your freezer door would cut out the middle man.

but a freezer is harder to move around than a rack of ice cube bags

Rob

If the hot air generated isn't exhausted from the space (as is done with an AC) then your only making the space warmer.
More efficient to wear an ice neck collar.

Its a swamp/evaporative cooler
it does work, kinda

Evaporative cooling only works while there's little water in the air. It's a bigger reservoir, but it's still just a reservoir. In the long term, you get wet hot air. And moldy walls.

Rob
True, it also works (best) using water spray and not solid ice: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaporative_cooler

If I see a good edit that is pending while reviewing first posts, but I ran out of edit reviews, should I choose No Action Needed?

8:33 PM
if an action is needed, but you can't perform it because you're out of edits, i'd say skip
so someone else will see it and hopefully make the edit

8:48 PM
How many No Action Needed does it take to drop a post out of the review queue?

Rob
"No Action Needed" is an incorrect review if an action is necessary; a different choice more appropriate.

@AnnZen one I think? At least in sites other than SO

10:39 PM
Hm... more control than I though.

Rob
10:51 PM
@JohnDvorak Another use for a fan and spraying water is snowmaking machines.

11:07 PM
typo: though -> thought

11:31 PM
^ can we get some flag on those? AP doesn't have any mods so they've been around for weeks
