That tiny time interval is known as the
Planck time. In some approaches to quantum gravity, the "flow" of time becomes uncertain at that scale. That is, in the first few hundred Planck times, the directions of past and future aren't well-defined, so it's not possible to determine a coherent order of events, and our normal notions of causality break down.
