It should, in theory, only need purging once. Apparently that's not the case, assuming I purged the right things (which I'm pretty sure about). Yesterday was crazy busy so I didn't have a chance to follow up. Gonna try again today if there's time.
This is caching at our CDN, I don't know too much about it.
@Oded if you got a minute, can you please purge/kick/nuke the varnish cache? Poor @gnat is getting wrong Sprites from the server and all icons are messed up for him.
Old times....
Anyway... as long as new designs/icons are created like once or twice a year (best case) it's really not a big deal.
I happened upon this question (from the HNQ list).
Most of the comments have extended beyond the comments box, and overlapped with the HNQ list.
Gut feeling: The super long username (apparently reads "Peace be upon him" in Arabic, over and over) is causing the weird rendering; but other c...
No? As long as you aren't delving into why they self deleted... that's private unless they choose to share. But it's fine to clear up that it wasn't due to moderator action.
Why should the mods be tacitly "at fault" because they can't clarify that the user chose to remove their own account? Also... mods don't really ever delete accounts of established users... they just get longer suspsions, so, really... no one should even be assuming the mods did it.
That feeling when you are again reminded that show desktop doesn't mean anything. It will not show you the desktop if one of the windows processes refuses to handle the WM_Minimize event ... :(

With original credit to Doorknob for providing the picture, I can confirm that the heart shape is indeed real (unlike the chickens, those were a troll by Telkitty).
Thanks to THelper suggestion, I can confirm that the trigger seem to be related to clicking (on the head?) of the stick figures: ...

Those were great, especially considering the size of JS (minified but still).
@ShadowWizard there was a CSS rule that changed a position to relative on :hover, causing a change in positioning parent for a different element, and the JS measured the relative position of that other element, adding up the numbers over a certain amount of frames to see if it passes a threshold
Or something like that
