An outsider can actively work to fit in. Or choose not to, and suffer the consequences of the choice.

but that should be commented on and closed then ;p

Although John Cavan did not get his accounts deleted, he did resign as a mod on Pets and Photography.

@Gerry I can't/won't comment on the details, but its sad to see people burn out like that.

My favorite diagrams describe a process in which diagrams are organized and created which in tern depict an abstraction of the interaction between pieces of software.

user202362
My favourite ... or my only activities are fixing things. Lawn mower, locks, website, apps ...

user202362
My heart yawns for making new things, but there are a bunch of old and crappy stuff waiting for me to fix

I can't tell if your heart yearns for that or if your heart is just really tired.

user202362
2:49 AM
It's more like bored than tired - I don't get bored when I have absolutely nothing to do because this world is full of interesting things, I get bored when I have to get boring stuff done.

Yes.

Am I missing something here? Answer +42... over 20K views... and the whole thing is "remove a space".

user315433
Did those 20K people who found the post after googling "OMG textarea not working" also have a space inside a tag?

I can see it as beginner's mistake, or someone who doesn't know how markup language works.
Also, it has required in the titled, so not necessarily just textarea

user315433
Perhaps a common mistake.

user315433
But ugh, that HTML with no quotes anywhere...

5:32 AM
And surely, googling "textarea required" returned SO post as 3rd result

@Gerry no one better upvote or downvote that... ;p

@Gerry Depends. How many ways can you screw up a textarea tag?

I retagged this to bug because I assume the duplicate title check should also run for edits in the grace period. I would expect this to be already reported somewhere but I can't find earlier bug reports, not on MSO or MSE at least.

First time hearing about this bug

Yeah, not sure why this loop hole is possible. I didn't expect those edits to follow a different code path.

7:58 AM
It is not uncommon to have similar titles: data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/664836
Maybe it is by design after all?

I have an interview on Wednesday... Yay

Best luck.
On-topic for meta?

Q: How can one get inverted names on StackExchange network?

Nikhil AgrawalI came across this question on Stackoverflow and saw the poster's name. It's mirrored on both x and y axis. The real name should be Chandran but actually it's this way How is this possible?

@πάνταῥεῖ Shrug
Kinda yeah

vaguely
I think its one of those "let it be, but consider voting appropriately" things

Borderline at least. Well, SE sites support rederening unicode. How Unicode works finally isn't a question to ask at SE Meta.

If nothing else, its a handy dupe target

10:06 AM
^Good point that.

And this is why they pay me the... imaginary unicorn dollars...
;p

Why do some sites require less spam flags before deletion?

As mentioned, all good luck for your interview. Unicorn dollars won't buy delicious dog food ;-)

lol yeah ;p
or squeeky toys.

I am thinking large cardboard box sitting on a pile of rocks (in between rocks for stability), and plastic bags as water proof on the outside. Transparent plastic bag as windows.

or stuff that and buy a large tent

user202362
Also I need to stop buying tents, I broke 4 in the past 3 years

You should cannibalise them

excellent. That's the first step in being a hobo.

Hello.
I need some help.
I read a post on meta as how to disable notification on a particular site and disabled the same for one such site I have signed in. In the meanwhile I found a down vote and on retracing it discovered a comment, something I wasn't notified of. I want to enable notifications again but can't as I don't remember how I did it the first place and couldn't trace out that post either.

1:44 PM
I didn't even know that you could turn off notifications

Q: Disable notifications from my less-used communities

aleskvaI've visited some communities (like Software Recommendations or Meta) only once or twice. I found out a way to remove them from "Your communities" list, but I haven't found how to disable notifications (e.g. reputation for a question upvote). Is there a way to achieve this?

@Tytoalba its apparently impossible
so... what did you do >_>

Probably the notification was dismissed accidentally?

userscript maybe?

@JourneymanGeek :p My memory possibly betrayed this time.

Its possible. ;p

Well. When an user is pinged this way @Firstname lastname
is there a possibility that the user won't be notified?

1:57 PM
hm
Pings are odd.

Yay.

Usually pings are based on the first three letters...

Ok...

@tyt should work, unless there's a nick collision
but I just tab complete most of the time.
@Tytoalba or reply, which also works. ;p

It worked.
Both of them.
Thank you.

1:58 PM
natch. I spend too much time on chat, and know it pretty well XD

@JourneymanGeek yup
@Tyt will ping Tytoalba

yup. as would leaving the space

:) I'm off now.

I think I pieced together the info correctly but I'm not 100% confident on the 30-day featured tag remover thing.
