@JasonC I'm under the impression that should be the case. MSO as it was is MSE for all intents and purposes.

12:54 AM
@JasonC true for all meta sites, with the caveat that it runs weekly

@YvetteColomb Yeah sure, I am have a lot of things I have to deal with these a few weeks. I think I have seen an email you have sent me to my telkitty.com address, but that account was disappropriated, I didn't get to read details. Now I am in the process of moving everything into telkitty.com.au account. Also have a property to fix, but that can wait until June.

@JourneymanGeek that actually would be pretty cool

hm. Maybe its cause I'm on a bigger site with more traffic but... meta.stackexchange.com/questions/295370/… this feels insanely difficult unless you know someone's about to downvote you, and are watching his profile page like a raven

@Telkitty prolly hawk, tho in tamil, we say... crow?

user202362

The house crow (Corvus splendens), also known as the Indian, greynecked, Ceylon or Colombo crow, is a common bird of the crow family that is of Asian origin but now found in many parts of the world, where they arrived assisted by shipping. It is between the jackdaw and the carrion crow in size (40 cm (16 in) in length) but is slimmer than either. The forehead, crown, throat and upper breast are a richly glossed black, whilst the neck and breast are a lighter grey-brown in colour. The wings, tail and legs are black. There are regional variations in the thickness of the bill and the depth of colour...
I was thinking these chaps

I really admire how much effort the OP put into this, in all respects: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/295400/…

user315433
Yet that was enough effort to find Meta.SE site. It's always Meta...

user315433
Two plausible explanations: (1) they are led here by featured posts, as the one about planned outage; (2) Meta is the only other site with "Stack" in the name, as seen in the footer.

user315433
(3) there is a "what to do if you are q-banned on SO" manual, which says "post on meta".

user315433
@M.A.R. Actually, I didn't get to flag it. You are The One. Your flag made it disappear.

Try flagging that?

@Elephant gone

Perhaps "accept" is the keyword?

So I guess something triggers one-flag deletion

user315433
The combination of "accept" and "answer".

@Elephant But I recall instances of flagging things that contained that and didn't go poof that moment

Possibility goes to "accept" the "answer"

This is not 100% true, but most comments with both of those words, and reasonably short (under 75 char) qualify.

Q: Do we need a 2017 moderator election?

mattdmLong-time moderator John Cavan recently (and, I think sadly and to all our loss) noted in his profile that he's leaving all of Stack Exchange, and I notice that he's no longer in the moderators list. @JourneymanGeek We've got pretty different time zones. But not completely distinct. I'm close to going for sleep (well, inbetween the next 3 hours. Not a working day tomorrow).

:)

@πάνταῥεῖ @JourneymanGeek I wanted to talk to them about a tag editing thing

ah, yeah The princess moderator is in another castle server ;)

Specifically, how if you start a tag wiki summary with the tag's name, it gets trimmed from the preview description

11:28 PM
Wearing a grey beard is kinda attitude of course:
Well, in general you can't contact any SE user other in respnding a specific action they did on a post. Let it be the post being a question or an answer, or finding them at chat.
I'm not sure about tag wiki edits, since there's no comment feature about these IIRC.
^@tchrist

@StevenVascellaro that feels more like a bug

@Journey There's a contact slot for discussing tag wiki edits? Is there one?

nope
not as far as I know

@JourneymanGeek Should we consider that a bug or rather a feature request?

oh, that its trimming can be either
what I don't get is why rand, particularly
I mean, sometimes the difference betwen a feature and a bug is point of view

11:37 PM
@JourneymanGeek Well, yeah. That sounds like asking for a social network feature, I believe no one really wants.

yup
lol
@πάνταῥεῖ sometimes I do wonder how chat made it through
Its the most social thing in a network designed to be asocial...
Don't get me wrong, its bloody useful

@JourneymanGeek At eye height POV, and talking clearly in short compreensible bits :-)

@JourneymanGeek Oooooof course!!

Not sure that's the right post to reply to ;p
also eye height varies. ;p

11:40 PM
@JourneymanGeek With body mass index yess :-)

lol
I was thinking more of the eye of the beholder eye rather than the ... height of the beholded....
so to speak
(I blame Root Access. I make lots of dog jokes in character )

To get on-topic again: Such system to comment on particular edits would lead to such (weird) system as proposeed with SO Documentation (Beta)?

plausibly
Or use chat

Well, as I mentioned IMO it's still weird how that works.

as a mod, I could, entirely in theory superping someone and go "Hey, I need some clarification on tag edits"
quite

11:51 PM
@Journey I well know that you're experienced in site modding. But what @StevenVascellaro seems to ask for is a slot to ask for clarification, or critisise a specific tag wiki info (edit or not) via commenting features. (Not that I believe that's a good idea at all).

ah tag wikis.
Poor, sad tag wikis.

Can we boil that down to that? (pun for the previous message)
@ɥʇǝS Unfortunately I have to agree most of them are quite poor and neglected.

@JourneymanGeek I'm not complaining about the descriptions being trimmed. In fact, I think it's a good thing
