sigh, ain't it great when people rudely talk about OPs in the comments...
Well, on the bright side, I get free comment flags...

Happiness is when you open the front door and see a little magpie, you wonder how long the bird has been standing there. Then the magpie start to sing a beautiful song, you get the message. So you go back to the kitchen to get some meat fillet for the bird - when the magpie take the first a piece of meat from your hand - that's the moment of happiness (for the magpie)

user202362
Sometimes, happiness is just that simple

Where's my magpie?

user202362
you need to attract them by gradually luring them closer with food

user202362
and you can't have chickens roaming free in your backyard, they will drive all similar sized birds away

Q: Why is my profile image different?

LaurelWhen I first signed up on a Stack Exchange site and got a profile image, it was this one (see my current user card I'm actually not sure what I look like any more): Later, I got Area 51 and SEDE profiles, and my user image there was a different identicon. Because reasons I already know. I wou...

> This appears to be a hashing oddity on area 51 - I will investigate why this is happening; this bit is entirely "us".

area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/91130/hindi-language still shows my old Avatar in the list of followers. You can check.

@Telkitty meat? So are magpies cannibals?
@Pandya maybe cached, maybe taking email hash from different place... hard to tell.

@ShadowWizard Btw, I've recently followed this proposal. Visit page and tell me which Avatar you see in recent followers?

@Pandya brown
also brown

oh! I think the issue with cache; for me it is not brown:

The bug affects only some viewers, and for some sizes. It's something with Gravatar's CDN, serving wrong contents, I think.

5:54 AM
They use some crappy provider for static content, this bug also affects SE itself when they update the Sprites.
They have to kick their CDN really hard to make it serve the new version.

oh! ok; finally I decided to change Avatar....

I don't think you can change it on Area 51

@ShadowWizard oh! you're right!

A: Site icons jumbled up

Adam LearI knew I was forgetting something after a new private beta launch earlier today... Apparently that "something" was kicking the CDN cache on favicon sprites. Sorry about that. The relevant files have been kicked now. Please let me know if the problem persists.

SE and Gravatar use the same CDN provider. Gravatar probably can't be bothered to kick it hard enough.

So, How do I change my picture on Area51?

5:57 AM
You can't.
@Pandya you can only change it via Gravatar itself. The bug affect only identicons (so far) so you can upload a custom picture to Gravatar and it should be fine.

Hmm... I see:

A: No avatar on Area 51

Shadow WizardUnfortunately Area51 is running on older Stack Exchange "engine", or technically speaking different, older, codebase. (I won't get into why it's so, it's big enough for a separate discussion which likely already exists) This means most new features we see on other sites are not making it to Area...

haha, yeah

@ShadowWizard Have you used Gravatar?

@Pandya had no choice, and still no choice for Area 51 and Careers. (now called Jobs, but same thing exactly.)
If you mean outside SE, then no.

ok; Let's forgot concerning about Avatar on Area-51 :p
@tchrist they may be obscured by Shadow's Den!

@rene He's prior to all chores.

Let me laugh about that because I assume it is funny

Quill must be attending him/it because he's prior. Duh.
@rene So I should've laughed when I presumed your jokes to be funny?

Better yes, if you start crying when you notice a possible joke you run out of tears like we run out of flags...

@rene CEO of trello

That could've made sense.
But why would we laugh when something is funny in the first place?

I guess you practice that a lot?
