I'm of the opinion that the account should be suspended for 30 to 90 days (more or less) for promotional content—I do not see clear grounds for a permaban. However, a part of me wants the user to be told (perhaps in a moderator private message) that his business does matter and that his efforts to promote it should be recognized, even if it was at the expense of the community.
