unix.stackexchange.com/questions/214166 when do I get the bounty? thought I get it today and now there is a grace period.
I don't understand the grace period system.
@JodkaLemon hmm maybe they forgot to award it
@JodkaLemon You get it when it's assigned or you get half the bounty in 23 hours, which ever comes first
The grace period is to allow the bounty poster the chance to evaluate answers (especially if they were to show up at the last minute)
@UnicornsAreVeryVeryYummy I htought I get all, when the original poster set's my answer as "best answer".
@it_is_a_literature would you grace me the bounty at unix.stackexchange.com/questions/214166?
> If the bounty was started by the question owner, and the question owner accepts an answer posted during the bounty period, and the bounty expires without an explicit award then we assume the bounty owner liked the answer they accepted and award it the full bounty amount at the time of bounty expiration.
13:08

@JodkaLemon No, there is no private messaging. Chat ping works for users who are in the room, or were there recently (within 2 days). Comments under their post also notify them. Also, you can ping in comments under posts where they commented.

@Pandya You have 1 accepted answer on meta stack exchange
@SmokeDetector spam, with broken english (possibly translating word-by-word). facepalm

@durron597 how to find out?

user259867
@1999 Mm, a bit. But the other part is I'm doing other things in my life... so closing questions and such stuff is taking the backburner.
@hichris123 to save time you could focus on easier close reasons like just using SEDE to close ones that already have a close vote for tool/rec , since they pretty easy to tell right away if that's what it's asking for, whereas like no-repro and other reasons can take a lot longer.. could do 50 tool/recs in 15 mins pretty easily
@Dronehinge I already do that. But only for questions with 4 close votes.... otherwise they typically age away.
@hichris123 i guess, but I think many old questions have been getting closed lately , i don't have any good data on it, but it seems like it imo from what i've noticed. Also, i adjusted a query you could use that only shows tool/rec questions less than 550 length, to avoid reading long questions. But yea, sometimes taking breaks are worthwhile
user259867
Someone has to go first... or second, or third, or fourth.
16:56
@1999 They do... but then you have to hope there's 4 more voters, or 3 more voters, or 2 more voters. I don't want to waste my time attempting to close a question and my close vote just ages away.

@hichris123 The version proposed in my answer is less "magic": perks are given after the community succeeds in running a mod election (which is nontrivial amount of work). Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of 11 players each on a field at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard long pitch. The game is played by 120 million players in many countries, making it the world's second most popular sport. Each team takes its turn to bat, attempting to score runs, while the other team fields. Each turn is known as an innings. The bowler delivers the ball to the batsman who attempts to hit the ball with his bat away from the fielders so he can run to the other end of the pitch and score a run. Each batsman continues batting until he is out. The batting...

The term imaginary unit or unit imaginary number refers to a solution to the equation x2 = −1. As a convention, the solution is usually denoted i. Since there is no real number with this property, it extends the real numbers, and under the assumption that the familiar properties of addition and multiplication (namely closure, associativity, commutativity and distributivity) continue to hold for this extension, the complex number system is generated by including it. Imaginary numbers are an important mathematical concept, which extends the real number system ℝ to the complex number system ℂ, which...
