@SecondRikudo Interesting that you reply then.
@SterlingArcher make the first batch with bacon fat & peanut oil. Then make a second batch to eat while watching the drama caused by the first batch.
@Shog9 but I'm dieting D:
wash it down with a diet soda!
Hmm, it would make me more buoyant..
@bjb568 I ask again, do you have any intention of being a moderator, now or in the future?
@Doorknob Not now.
I've actually lost 7lbs from eating healthy alone :D
coconut oil baby
But later?
@SterlingArcher not too much then. Don't want folks thinking you're a witch

Early projections show @JasonC and I as the representatives from the Grand Old Tavern Party of Meta in SO2015.
@Undo Wait until after the great wave.
@pizza IIRC, yes.
@SecondRikudo Meaning after India wakes up?
@Undo Yup.
This time tomorrow, we'd have a much better projection.
Thought about that, although applying my indian-name-stereotype-o-meter to the candidates below the #10 mark shows very few of them with names that sound Indian.
I predict we have a lineup close to what we have now, Raghav much higher.

Would total voter turnout be the sum of all upvotes minus all downvotes across all candidates?
@ConspicuousCompiler It'll be listed on a page after the election - SE knows how many people voted in the final election, overall
we're only in primaries right now, votes here don't count IIRC
Ah, gotcha. Not sure I ever looked at an election after it ended. stackoverflow.com/election/5 I wonder if I backed any winners.
@ConspicuousCompiler stackoverflow.com/election/5?tab=election, you can see who you voted for in the sidebar
user259867
@ConspicuousCompiler No. Users typically vote for/against more than one candidate (but also not on all of them, so there's no way to tell how many participated so far).
Cool. 1 out of 3 winners. I think that gets me back the price of the scratch ticket.

During the final stage, one can track participation using the Constituent badge.
@pizza 42139 awarded right now.
Oh – it says that at the top of the page.
A school prank — to be carefully distinguished from school bullying or assault — is a prank primarily occurring in a school setting. The effect and intent of school pranks may include everyday play and supposedly consensual bonding behaviour. Genuine pranks can involve elaborate planning and teamwork, and they are generally harmless to all concerned, since they will not involve property damage, bullying or physical harm to anyone. When the prank has run its course, the prankster is expected to restore matters to the status quo ante, i.e., the way things were before the prank took place. If not...
I'm not sure how I feel about this…
> A school prank...is a prank primarily occurring in a school setting.
Hmm...really?

I'm not sure what is being discussed.

Can mods disassociate questions from a user's account, or is that employee-only?

@meagar Employee-only.
@AlexisKing Person is taking an intro to natural language processing class. There is an early assignment to do simple classification of words in a sentence. Here's a more well-formed question from the field: stackoverflow.com/questions/17317418/stemmers-vs-lemmatizers
@ConspicuousCompiler Yes, I'm aware of what the OP was generally getting at, but still... that grammar is terrifying.

@AlexisKing Sounds like he needs some help with natural language.

Nope.
Time to go answer the candidate questions? I think so.

A: 2015 Moderator Election Q&A - Questionnaire

UndoUndo's answers A question is asked and receives some very good answers. The asker then flags this question and asks for it to be deleted because having it up will cause them trouble at work or school. Do you delete the question? If it's something simple, like company credentials in the post...

:waves:
wow, that was a great exercise in typing :P
also, I'm noticing a distinct lack of @hichris123 in that thread.
Well, except for that guy wondering why you downvote so much.
@Undo I'm on 5.
ah good :)
I have homework, yanno. :P
23:27
oh, right. Homework.
Well I hereby assign the questionnaire as homework. Hah!
Call it political studies.
I'm too busy watching a pretty vote monitor (@JasonC?)
disorient.ddns.net/SOVoteMonitor ; please don't share the link outside of the tavern or the election chat room. I'm trying to avoid getting hammered by requests.
How many hits per second are you getting @JasonC?
why not just host on heroku or something
@hichris123 Barely any, and I'd like it to stay that way. Without looking at logs, there's 12 active sessions = 12 requests every 5 seconds = about 2.4 per second.
23:37
!
Oh dear
@JasonC That's cool.
Ouch, I don't have a positive score anymore. :P
Anonymous
<3 @JasonC. I'll be sure to thank you for this in my acceptance speech, to keep you safe from my rebel horde while the revolution is taking place.
I've been thinking, since the questionnaires are open for the candidates as primary begins but people are already voting, shouldn't there be buffer time for them to fill out the thing first?
23:40
Who flagged my image?
Like, WTH?
Anonymous
@Unihedro I doubt a significant fraction of the voters bother to read them.
Anonymous
A good point in principle, though.
@JeremyBanks true
@JeremyBanks Yeah, it's more like "vote[bjb?'down':'up']()"
I had a positive score for a split second! Then someone downvoted.
23:44
I can feel bjb's rage all the way over here.
@Unihedro just as I upvoted you someone else dvoted you :(
Did you post something bad recently..
@James no
ah well, early days
A majority of the community don't know me, they look at the rep count and therefore downvote because I'm at <10k. Fine by me though. :p
I'm surprised how steady my score has been.
It seems as if nearly every upvote I get is balanced by a downvote.
And that dashboard confirms that.
(As I say that, I get an unbalanced downvote.)
@Mooseman and I are dangling on the edge at the bottom.
23:51
@AstroCB :'(
Better than in the negatives with @Uni.
I was in the positives. :P
[ SmokeDetector ] Offensive body detected, repeating characters in body: Dealing with intense negative emotions by saadboyyy on buddhism.stackexchange.com
I probably shouldn't have highlighted my Meta participation in my nomination; the general populace isn't too fond of Meta.
Not sure I get the point of downvote on primary. Seems like it would bring an unbalanced score, as every voter will upvote those they want, but not necessarily every voter will downvote those they don't want.
