Yes, everyone's main reason seems to be edit conflicts. My typical experience: I'm in the middle of a long painful rewriting of a muddled question, someone else sees that x^2 is not typed as $x^2$, and edits that ignoring everything else.

Yes, it contained "shit" in rev 1, but that's easy to be edited out and not enough to be considered abuse.

It seems that the comment-length check counts some invisible characters valid, for example: the characters ranging from ⁪ (U+206A) to ‬ (U+202C) and ⁪ (U+206A) to ⁮ (U+206E). This allows users to post comments that look shorter than the specified threshold of 15. See below.

@hichris123 An answer to a question that shouldn't have been answered rarely merit preservation. Exceptions can be handled with historical lock. Deletion is a not a punishment for the user who left the answer; it's a housekeeping task.

@Fundamental Perhaps, but it may prove to be useful. In addition, we're wasting people's times by deleting answers on an old off-topic post rather than cleaning up a high-visibility or new post.
