I'm unsure how to phrase this as a question, but I have 3 MySQL tables and I want to select from 2 of them based on the results of a select of the third one. JOIN?
Join the three tables together. Table 3 is your intermediate table here, so join all three of them together, and you should be able to get what you need
I think it went really well.. but they have incredibly high standards. Should find out within a day or two. It's an awesome team that I would love to join.

I think people should be able to write questions about what to use, but they need to be very specific. Of course, you have a batch of people who think that specific questions are localized, but that's another issue.
lots of good comments on that one, there needs to be slack for people looking for the right software tools. (Not saying the question Oded referenced above was worth keeping, but I didn't take the time to read the whole thing).
Programmers is what originally was envisioned to handle software tool recommendations (among other things); that was one of the disappointments in it's repurposing; that now it's hard to ask those questions.
