Good morning

5 hours later…
07:02
@PetLinux Glorious Potato to you
Potato was tasteful
08:09
@SPArcheon Yeah, it's not unusual for different moderators to handle the same flag differently. Most flags are subjective, and moderators are humans, not bots. How could you expect anything different?
Well, if someone get offended by something subtle, it's a problem.
08:29
Why trolls don't rest during Sunday?
And why one post was nuked quickly while other left alone with almost no flags.... so weird. meh.
Roomba will delete it in few days. (Staff won't ever visit SE during weekend, and parrot might rest, she deserves it.)
@JNat just in case, cross network sleazy troll should be nuked. Thanks!
!!/coffee for @EleezatheOtherWorldWizard

Although I'm on strike, that guy really annoys me...
@PM2Ring well, SF&F mods are fast, or just not on strike, so they nuked the spam posts of the previous account. Though without deleting the account.
Yep only one out of four signed the letter. shrugs
08:48
Almost a month of strike

The post from the 1002 account was still visible when I posted my previous comment. But it disappeared when I flagged it as R/A.
Which? The NSFW or the usual trolling?
The usual trolling.

2 hours later…
10:25
All clean now. Impressive, but they'll be back, sadly.
Yeah. They're very persistent. I first saw them on Math.SE, 3 or 4 months ago.
@PM2Ring I remember something from years ago, but without the rabbit, that's a new addition.
11:16
@PetLinux feels like stalemate. Not even a tiny advance, all just talks and talks with no real solution anywhere in any future.
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack there's movement, just a lot of things going wrong in the process
I assume that soon SE will just pull out of the talks, keep silent, and let those who choose to leave, well, to leave. At this point they can clearly see there are enough to maintain most sites, and they'll just run elections where there aren't.
Still not sure what I'll personally do in such case, or if things will just be dragged like now.
Spam isn't flooding any site, at most small wave here or there.
11:33
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack Patience
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack My to kill list is about 4 pages
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike lol
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike it will be 400 before anything will really change. ;)
hah
There will be the mother of all backlogs
11:52
meta.stackexchange.com/questions/390891 Apparently people can post on meta.SE without having any rep on any other sites?
or what exactly happened there?
@KarlKnechtel Its always been the case
You just rarely see it cause we deal with it quickly

Q: People get lost and crash into meta - maybe we need roadblocks for their safety

Journeyman Geek On StrikeI used to think that Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog's idea of a survey was a terrible idea - it didn't actually fix anything, and I suspect most folks asking off-topic questions here are drivebys. On the other hand, we end up closing a few questions a day from people wandering in lost, asking utte...

12:43
Also.
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack smacks with rolled up newspaper BAD WIZARD. BAD
13:03
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike innocent face
But... what did I do now? ;)
oh
Yeah, broke the strike to delete two days old off topic question.
The OP posted again, on purpose, so it was just too annoying.
You can't just use MSE as your trashcan.
I was going to let it rot on its own (Roomba).
at this point, broader participation would be much more valuable than more stringency imo
... can I not search for users by username?
@KarlKnechtel also, comment everywhere needs only 5 rep instead of 50.
@KarlKnechtel you can only by display name, not ID.
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack do you mean specifically on MSE, or do you mean that they changed it
Only in users page, not via the ordinary search.
@KarlKnechtel only on MSE.
It's in a unique state, being both main site and a meta site.
aha
so anyone who finds it can post?
that leaves the question of how people find it
13:08
@KarlKnechtel yep.
@KarlKnechtel Google, Featured Questions sidebar, are the most likely path.
e.g. someone on SO see Featured question, click it, reach MSE, thinks they're still on SO, and asking a question after reading the featured question.
@KarlKnechtel what user are you looking for?
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack don't feed trolls
another consequence of the strike: meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/418569
13:33
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike oh, oops. Well, they need to be nuked sooner.... ;)
Even if there wasn't a strike its not instant
And they crave attention, lets just not give them what they want ya?
@KarlKnechtel yeah, that one is pity, and can't see a CM cleaning up the mess.
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack Well in theory it would be great excercise
chewing on theory
hands @ShadowWizardStrikesBack a rather dodgy looking easter egg instead
13:42
letting the dragon hatch from the easter egg and watching it burn the Tavern
(makes note of that for the next time @ShadowWizardStrikesBack asks for coffee)
!!/coffee
waiting for @Journeyman
/me hands an infusion of fresh pond water, tavern charcoal, and boiled frog, topped with a barium foam.
yum yum yum
status-Tavern-burninated
14:15
One thing for sure, with parrot away, lost souls get much more screen time. ;)

3 hours later…
17:19
Is short ping also works in comments?
18:05
@PetLinux yes, no time limit.

3 hours later…
20:39
@ShadowWizardStrikesBack what have we been doing all this time
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike that's true everywhere else too

3 hours later…
23:13
@M.A.R. depends. Not really any Sherpas under the sea.
