@Sonic you sure about that duplicate?

@RyanM Removed the vote. I didn't understand the case was different.

Thanks!

8:15 AM
Has it always been the case that you can't vote to close in the review queue when you are checking out a suggested duplicate?

Rob
@ShadowWizardIsVaccinatedV3 Yes, but barely noticeable where I am; 50 KM away is different story.

@Rob Pfft this is in the US? I've seen the damage huricanes did in the south there. Pretty devestating

A: In the close vote review queue, when you switch to look at a duplicate question, the close button is broken

Brian NickelThis is fixed by an accident of design. One design requirement for the new review queues UX is to hide the task actions when you aren't looking at the review task's post. This means, when you're looking at a Duplicate you can't not get a popup when clicking "Close" because there's no "Close" butt...

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog meh its highly annoying. I'll make a FR then :)

@Luuklag @Sha, I slipped through the fingers - barely 1/2" of rain and a few gusts of ~20 mph, everywhere else: youtu.be/jcgejC5prIY?t=243

and once again, only @MetaAndrewT. has some chance to get the joke here.

@SPArcheon I... have to half-guess the joke, and it's half-correct :)
didn't follow the series, though familiar with the art style

1:01 PM
@SPArcheon Don't give tools to kittens?

1:23 PM
@Luuklag Why? A cat can use a plow quite well...

@SPArcheon I think those are called paws ;)
@SPArcheon I prefer this then:

@Glor good luck in the Board and Card Games election!

thanks!

Glorfindel the diamond collector ;)
Or are you going to go pokémon style?

He's trying to become a CM the hard way.

1:34 PM
Him and JG have a bet on who can get 177 diamonds first :P

lol
I only have two
a third, maybe if the need to step up comes up, but there's better candidates than me :)

Well the odds aren't very much against Glorf on B&C games
7 candidates for 3 positions
And he does have the highest candidate score
May the odds ever be in your favour

1:53 PM
I like even numbers more :)
Though of course seven is a nice number of diamonds :P

lol. I was thinking of standing in pets last year when Ash was still around
kinda hard to stay active there without that old fuzzball

@Mithical 100 diamonds, and you get free CM card?
:P

2:37 PM
@Rob just wait until the atmospheric river from that bomb cyclone merges with a polar vortex

2:50 PM
@ShadowWizardIsVaccinatedV3 Honestly, If you can win a hundred elections.... CM would be... underachiving
@cairdcoinheringaahing that would literally mean SE decides there's a place for me in the org. I'd love that but that would need a minor miracle at this point. Both an opening and a change in who, well where they are willing to hire.

Just move. :)

I can't move without a job + COVID means I can't even then

3:11 PM
@Glorfindel If you split your mod powers into seven pieces, it's the most powerful magical number and you'll be undefeatable

Or put it on a gauntlet and snap away spammers 😁

3:36 PM
@JourneymanGeek Can I interes you in a nice trip to a very exclusive vacation location?
@Glorfindel could you please lend those to @Sonic for a second? I want to see if they turn yellow.
also, since we are at it.
@JourneymanGeek ^

Biggest currently produced bulldozer, you can fit a few large trucks in the scoop.

@Luuklag if we are talking about toys now....

Did something change recently, I notice more and more failure of loading my inbox pop-up, I get linked to my global network inbox a lot of times. Also pages fail to load at the propper answers.

haven't noticed any of that

Could be my internet connection then...
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog take a look at this revision on the rate limit guide at your convenience, I'd love your opinion on it. I think there is no need to list exemptions for moderators, as they are pretty much exempt from any and all rate limiting. meta.stackexchange.com/revisions/164900/136

7:22 PM
@Luuklag I think it's better to list them out. Sometimes, people bring up unfounded abuse claims when a moderator does something that regular users aren't allowed to do, so explicitly listing them out as moderator abilities helps prevent/provide evidence against such claims.

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog yeah good point.
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog Also got me to fix a typo from @tink

@Luuklag Lovely, just what that post needed ;) thanks!

You're welcome
Did your furniture arrive today, or was that scheduled for tomorrow?
Thanks for adding that historical part to my question @sonic

@Luuklag Today! (Most of it, at least. Two of the dining chairs went missing and will be delivered as soon as they're located XD)
We also have to put together the bookcase ourselves. But I got a call this afternoon apologizing for that, and promising a 100 euro refund for the trouble ;)

7:38 PM
Looks nice! We have about the same kitchen, only a different oven, and a "gasstel"

Yeah it's a pretty standard one :) I picked it very early on, so I've been really careful and picked something 'safe'

I think we have the exact same fumehood. Don't open the lights too often, their casing breaks easily

Interesting. With this change, casting the final delete vote will now force an auto-refresh.
(Performed on this question)
I wonder if the same is true for self-deletions. I also wonder if that would be a jarring experience for newer users.

@Spevacus yeah confirmed
@Spevacus I did a self deletion on SU, there it also triggered a page reload

Interesting. That's a definite change in the typical behavior, but I wouldn't consider it bad. Closure does the same thing, so why not deletion?
Closure as in when you cast the final close vote to close a question.

7:54 PM
@Luuklag Noted ;)

Oh how I love the comments here. Some people just want to put everything in a filing cabinet...
@Luuklag since you don’t consider this support or a feature-request, what would you consider this? — Ekadh Singh - Reinstate Monica 2 hours ago

Rob
8:35 PM
@Luuk, they only have one report which I believe puts them out or the running for 'CM network accounts deletion'; though I agree that they are off to a terrible start, for what's appropriate to post.

Hm. This question was closed as a dupe of the typical "How do I report bugs for the iOS and Android apps?" question, but it's since been edited to be a question which the dupe does indicate is an acceptable avenue for questions related to the apps. I'm considering voting to reopen, what do y'all think?
The answer to it would simply be "No, and there's no plans to allow you to do so because it's no longer maintained." which the dupe implies but... Eh.
Ah. Maybe I should've read the comments more comprehensively:
Simply changing the tag to support doesn't make it any less of a feature request, and the duplicate pretty succinctly explains why it will never be implemented into the app. — animuson ♦ 2 days ago

10:06 PM
@Catija Can I please have a conversation with you in a private chat room, if you don't mind?

@Spevacus One thing we think, is that it unanimously failed one ReOpen attempt already: meta.stackexchange.com/review/reopen/79817 - Searching would have revealed to the OP that there never was such a feature, so asking for "support" on how to use such a feature on the App is disingenuous. Last I checked we don't reopen if closed for the wrong reason if it could legitimately be closed for another reason.
In the interest of being helpful I left a comment there offering a solution for their problem.

11:45 PM
I'm slightly surprised at the overlap between app users and folks not entirely keeping up with SE events
