people keep trying to define some kind of separation between the demodding and the defamation... but then seem to indicate that the only real solution is reinstatement... Why should that be the only acceptable outcome, if the two are separate?

i don't think most people who care are gonna be happy with anything but a fast tracked per se offer to become a mod again

I still check the recent changes of a wiki that I "parted ways with" years ago. That wiki was killed by communication issues between the community and the person who had server access.

@JourneymanGeek Agreed. However, some people see it as a bigger "us vs them" thing. And one rather vocal person is claiming that the people who contributed money to the GoFundMe campaign are entitled to more information. IMHO, that's unrealistic, and unfair to Monica.

I said earlier "SI Inc should give her back her diamonds, no strings attached". I say that because the way her dismissal was handled was abominable. However, I'm not claiming that there were absolutely no grounds for her dismissal.

I haven't seen TL transcripts or other leaked material, but I've read enough hints to get the impression that several people had long-standing complaints against her. So I accept that it's not unreasonable for her to go through some form of reinstatement process if she wants her diamonds back.

@PM2Ring well as a mod who resigned and came back - in good standing, I went through the same process
