Correction: it's about 150+ rep users, not 3K users.
Let's compare those between, say, Mechanics, Law and Philosophy.
Users with 150+ rep, by site... Mechanics: 1065, Philosophy: 864, Law: 300.
Name shortcuts get me every time
That's "Mechanics" for me, because the URL and shorter.
Some part of those 1065 may be somewhat artificial, gaining rep because of a voting campaign after the aforementioned meta post...
12:10 AM
Law election is headed for double-digit turnout too, 72 voters so far and the election ends in 19 hours.
Will likely be the second-lowest turnout (Network Engineering Election #1 had 63 voters)

We made it to McCall. The water is about as warm as it can be. https://t.co/GWwhIF0E49
You can imagine how much Jon wants to be pinged about site graduations right now.

If I were in boiling water, I guess I'd welcome a distraction
It can go over 100 C under high pressure... hm.
> In water, the critical point occurs at around 647 K (374 °C; 705 °F) and 22.064 MPa (3200 PSIA or 218 atm).
12:52 AM
374 C and 218 atm aren't comfortable conditions.
comfortable? that's putting it mildly
I'm on a university network..... did the ip get blocked or something?
I sometimes feel like answering emails with that.

Okay, then it's probably someone at your university...

Yeah, I tried on my phone. Same result
Maybe use contact us form on another site, mentioning your IP and the UTC time of attempt...
If someone feels like digging the logs to find what happened.

I don't know why a Varnish error would be occuring, given that SE doesn't run on Varnish
Unless HAProxy has identity issues?
@ᴡᴏʀᴅs Fortunately, McCall Idaho is at about 5K feet, so water should be boiling at a comfortable 94-95C
@Quill Maybe something on the Fastly side?
Maybe, I doubt they'd have such a horribly formatted error message

What happened to his Kindle? Can't tell from the picture.
1:24 AM
LCD failure, either drop or minor water damage
I sat on mine recently, and expected something of the kind, but nothing happened...
Yay for being underweight, I guess.
A solution to Jon's problem: disregard Kindle, read meta.

I think average score is better than sum here...
to be clear, I'm not sure that's a good measure of... Anything. It was just the measure that the asker there happened to be using, for reasons which are his own.
No, the average isn't so good, being dominated by early beta months
June 2016 was the first month with negative average question score on SO.
Code Review has pretty weird trends by that query
As opposed to...?
1:54 AM
Math, I guess?
@Quill no, I mean those trends match up pretty well with Posts, Votes, most other forms of activity
(ignore the stuff before the site's launch date - I was lazy)
On Math, the total score has been in decline for years, as activity grows.
In relation to SQL, I just got out of an oracle sql lab where they taught us how to select * queries
I think my life is complete
only if maths are as new as computer science, growth on SE related sites can lasts much longer ...
I don't think that's how that works

Not that Charles IV, the real one
Charles IV (Czech: Karel IV., German: Karl IV., Latin: Carolus IV; 14 May 1316 – 29 November 1378), born Wenceslaus, was the second King of Bohemia from the House of Luxembourg, and the first King of Bohemia to also become Holy Roman Emperor. He was the eldest son and heir of King John of Bohemia, who died at the Battle of Crécy on 26 August 1346. Charles inherited the County of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Bohemia from his father. On 2 September 1347, Charles was crowned King of Bohemia. On 11 July 1346, prince-elector selected him King of the Romans (rex Romanorum) in opposition to Emperor Louis...

@Derpy Wow, that was quite good.
I can hear a few audio editing errors tho.
@bjb568 the original is probably the best one, but it has that little problem.
Male voice.
Meh, it's ok, but the voice sounds a bit strained on the high end.
I like the parts with a countermelody, it'd be good if it was like that the whole way thru. Even better if it was a full chamber group thing like TTTTBaBaBB or something.
Not saying either is bad. It is just that I am still searching for a female version (since you know... not like Undyne is male) with a voice that sounds still "epic" like the original.

@hichris123 to move the team-list to our room website
@rene Well, the way SOCVR used it was "Hey, you joined our room! Now visit our team page (which has a link to our rules)" - which wasn't too helpful.
@hichris123 Making a site named "SOCVR".
(also, is it a Team page? a Teams page? a team page? a teams page?)
@hichris123 true, I hoped (and waited) for those pages to be a bit more useful in markup and content management ;)

@TIPS I like that, actually. A reason for departing SO & Math was the persistent feeling that I'm answering questions that shouldn't have been asked.
I'm a mind reader.
I should award myself some ice cream.
@rene please find a reason to disagree.
They ask because they didn't search... which means their next incarnation will not search either, so my answer is useless.
7:48 PM
@TIPS I agree to disagree
@redredwine Your answer isn't useless if their device has a copy and paste function.
Un-feature request: don't block the authors of accepted answers from deleting them.
A typical reason to delete such an answer is that it's obsolete, and should get out of the way of newer, better answers.
This is something the system should encourage.
If rage-quitting is a concern, there are checks for that already.
7:57 PM
@redredwine This I'd advocate
