No, I <3 stackoverflow too much ... also I only troll serious sites, it's a bit like choosing to be a C++ developer - reddit and youtube might suit me better, but I like to challenge myself.

Is there any way to do a custom mod flag on the chat?
oh, right.
@Magisch I guess that I will keep my eyes open then. I wonder if the one you are discussing with is really "discussing" or just aiming at fueling a flame war...
@Derpy I'm not letting myself get baited
@Magisch you know, I am more into "let's remove the one who dropped those baits"
@Derpy If I was fully convinced it was a troll, I wouldn't be responding.
10:21
seem more moderate now, but some of the lines seemed a little weird.
this one for example almost got my flag. I will just consider it an hyperbole. For now.
11:00
@Derpy flag as... "not true"?
as I said, I will keep a drone there watching and monitoring the room
fine if that is discussion, everyone deserve to have his/her ideas. Not fine if someone is trying to drive the discussion into flame war.
@Derpy I also said Trump is a bad choice. If this starts a flame war, this is really not my fault. Though here it's off topic. :)
@ShadowWizard your opinion about the election may be different from other people opinion but it is your opinion. Diving in an already anxious argument with a line that reads "They have money, they are over moral" MAY be your opinion and I won't blame your for it even if I don't agree.... but it also seems like you are poking the boiling pot to see if you can make it spill.
@Derpy I see. Still, can't be proved, so chat suspension due to this won't be fair.
That is the whole point

But ... if you are true to yourself, a superior 1337 tr011 is a superior 1337 tr011 anywhere on the internet. You are no longer bound by sites, by domains, by even all internet corporations combined. You are you! You defy time, (internet) space and continuously to be the true self regardless of others. Nothing modifies you, nothing is capable of changing you. You are the ultimate monument, the light tower of internet.
so, you are not "true" here?
user202362
I could do better @_@
@Telkitty so, are you now a telkitty that is dreaming of being a "1337 tr011" or a "1337 tr011" that is dreaming of being a telkitty?
user202362
Telkitty is a 1337 tr011
@PatrickHofman none that I found, but if there was one my own answer would be something like "It's acceptable, at least when the question itself has negative score and especially on meta sites, e.g. feature request where OP realize not being popular, so won't be done"
> "A (superior) 1337 tr011 is a superior 1337 tr011 anywhere on the internet. Nothing modifies you, nothing is capable of changing you"

@Derpy trust me, my performance was much 'better' on some other site(s)
Since Stack Exchange is indeed changing you, you can't be a superior 1337 tr011 now and here

Maybe you just don't realize it yet. We have time.

@Shog9 The comments under a nomination, are they free 4 all or generally required to be constructive?
@Magisch same rules as everywhere else, with a bit more allowance for personal observations (NOT insults)
@Shog9 Cause Art has been getting lots of (imo not very based in facts) flack from a particular user
Not direct insults mind you but very distracting nonetheless
well, distracting is a different issue... Lotta comments right now, but that'll end with the nomination phase
@Shog9 Does the election phase come with a fresh slate of comments
or do the current ones stay
they stay on the nomination phase; no comments in either of the latter phases
15:26
No comments on the election tab
I have a feeling I may not make it this time, but maybe some years from now
hmm... I wonder if "move to chat" works on nominations?
@Shog9 I don't think so
I looked for it
let's make Art our guinea pig
It's been a great learning experience so far, though
15:27
lol
denied!
@Shog9 That'd have been a real mess if it worked
        if (post == null || post.IsDeleted || !(post.IsQuestion || post.IsAnswer))
            return JsonNotFound();
@Shog9 just add || post.IsNomination and it will work then.

@ShadowWizard Was YCS likely to nominate? He didn't strike me as someone who wants to be a moderator.
19:30
Meanwhile I've been going over some of the candidates reviews. Let's just say that there are some that won't get my vote.
user315433
That was not an informative statement, considering there are 9 candidates and 3 votes...
@zaq You've got a point, the entropy of that statement was close to 0.
It surprises me, though, that some of the candidates had done little reviewing.
I've found a lot of problematic issues surfacing in the review queues. From spam posts, to vandalism edits. The latter usually from a user trying to rage-quit.
So, I feel it's a plus if a mod candidate is a prolific reviewer. IF they're reviewing right.
user315433
19:48
I like deceze's explanation of why he's not reviewing much. If the home page of his tag serves up enough stuff to edit/close/etc all day long, why not just do that.
user315433
Unfortunately, we don't get to see a candidate's total of close / reopen / delete / undelete votes. This should be public information for every user (FR)
Not sure about that... especially with the amount of robo-reviewing going on.
What you'd really want to know is how the candidates voted; what they voted to close, reopen, delete or undelete. To get at that information, you need to dig through the site.
user315433
20:07
So you spend an hour or so digging through the data and then use it to inform precisely 1 vote... out of 30,000.
user315433
I think if there are clear issues with a candidate's record, they should be made public, possibly in the election chatroom.
[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Mostly non-Latin answer: how to show persian or arabic numbers in Magento? by user46997 on magento.stackexchange.com
So, you'd go into the chatroom to say "Well, you closed this which was should stay open, and reopened this which was cr*p"?
user315433
"You've made some close/reopen decisions that I don't understand; care to explain? Why should X be closed and Y be open?"
Much better wording yes.
Now how would I phrase "this tag wiki was blatantly copy-pasted from the official documentation, why did you approve it"? ....because that's what I've seen.
user315433
20:16
To that the usual answer is "To investigate possible plagiarism in every tag edit is above my pay grade".
Any candidate who responds with that, hasn't understood what they're applying for.
@zaq To which we should just lower their pay grade.
user315433
Well, that would be my answer but I'm not running for a mod.
@zaq Why not btw
@Magisch I was actually surprised to see you running. You once told me you'd been doxxed in the past. As a moderator, you'd be a target again.
20:24
@S.L.Barth Yeah
It was mildly unpleasant
I weathered it once I'll do it again
Well, I guess having been through it once can be helpful.
user315433
Interesting review rejection: two reviewers said there is no change made at all. That's true if you look at the default view, or its side-by-side view. Only side-by-side-markdown shows the change was to add references.
I usually Reject edits that add links like that. Too many links are a distraction, not an improvement.
I tried to Reject another one like that with a custom reason, but the Reject bug struck again :-(
People are taking to the "Content is too specific" reason as the standard Reject. Note that there's one of these among the Rejecters as well.
@S.L.Barth I have dealt with way worse then this site could throw at me
20:43
@Magisch Well, I guess you can handle it.
Meanwhile let's just hope that if you do become a moderator, things will stay nice.
Of course thats always preferable
I wonder if I will be able to overcome the fact that I don't have 10k rep yet
21:01
People really should look beyond rep. It's about the worst yardstick in the system.
Indeed
For example... just yesterday I saw a bad edit in Documentation. One Approver above 500 rep, one Rejecter below. The lower rep user understood it better.
@S.L.Barth But people should and reality don't always align
I'm giving it my best shot, so I hope I at least wont get primaried
Well, good luck from me!
