@ZachSaucier no… Why?
Also, I wrote a post on why I contribute to SO medium.com/@ZachSaucier/…

Q: Weekly topic challenge: pruning [completed]

J. MusserI made a post asking for topic ideas for the challenge, and the next open suggestion is for pruning. Please use the tag pruning when posting questions for this challenge, and remember to keep the site quality at a good level. Next week, on December 22, I will tally up the results to see how we ...

I don't mean one chat room
I mean one system so we can see what other rooms we're in on the side using one tab
@ZachSaucier I do that
Of course, not with MSE, but

maybe we can make a third party site to do it
I have lots of screen space.

screen space isn't the issue
tabbing is

Q: What should we do about Greatest Hits?

Shog9A few years back, the team rolled out a Greatest Hits page that purported to display the "public face" of a site's (or an individual user's) content. This was never linked to from within the UI, because... Well, we weren't sure what to do with it. That's probably not gonna change; in fact, we mi...

Q: Self-deletion and un-deletion without any changes should reinstate the original close/delete votes

BartCurrently, when a user self-deletes a post and subsequently undeletes it, any votes to delete or votes to close magically disappear as if they never happened. While that might make some sense if a user deleted a post to then significantly update it, it seems to make no sense in the case where not...

@Fundamental Thank you
user259867
Updating the FAQ on undeletion was fun. "How can I get my post undeleted?" -- If self-deleted, you can undelete. If user-deleted, you can vote to undelete if have rep. If mod-deleted you can't even vote. Oh, and if your answer was deleted from review before getting three 20K delete votes, you can still undelete yourself. Where 20K is 4K if it's a beta site...

Btw, I need clarification about closure message.
From what I know, the closure message will be displayed to OP only after someone flag as off-topic
@AndrewT. I think it's only after someone close votes as off-topic.
02:25
only if flag/close as duplicate or custom close reason
What @Sompuperoo said
I see. Thanks!
When one CVs as duplicate, a banner is shown, and when one flags as blatantly OT with custom close reason, a custom comment is added; other than that, no trace is left unless they have 250 rep
then they can see the close (1) number, but they don't get notifications for it
That explains my misunderstanding about the banner... Really thanks, @Uni!
It's something like this:

ignore line break?
^ that
is the equivalent to the line:
do

but in this case you can spread the long command in several lines

@Unihedro roflcoptr, the whole distinction between a get/post thing that retrieves and modifies and a get/post thing that retrieves and modifies called "API" is stupid.
@bjb568 APIs are usually more stable and are public. Non-APIs can break anytime and are not meant for public use.
@hichris123 Because caching, you can't really change non-APIs anytime.

DerekI've searched for the definition of an API in a programming language and I am still finding it hard to understand. Could anyone advice me in simple, layman's terms: What is an API? How is it used? When and where is it used?

By the way, it seems that Behaviour is now Fundamental.
If you have a non-API and people use it, then it's like… the same thing as an api

I figured out a great way for SE to make more money, I saw a commercial for some movie , and a line they showed in the clip was "I could buy 1 of these or 127 toyota corollas" .. Funny joke yea, but obvious advertisement for toyota inside of an advertisement for some movie...

user259867
Thankfully, it seems SE dropped the idea of extending ad banners to non-trilogy sites. Commercial ads exist on some, but not as banners anymore. They sit in the sidebar, like this DBA ad.
