Q: Pictures in the sand to satisfy a guard

UndoA party is being held at a local mansion. The host is very rich and his success is because of one thing - his famous recipe for spaghetti. He has pushed your tiny spaghetti startup to the side, and sabotaging him is your only hope of achieving dominance in the spaghetti marketplace. The only gu...

@Undo oh nice

@Doorknob bad doorknob

much better @Doorknob

whitespace somewhat important

@Undo I'm sorry, but I don't have a 5000x2000 screen. :P

10:17 PM
(sorry :P)

why

... oh, it is?

Well kind of, it gets even harder without it

Fine, then I'll just delete it. That way we don't have to worry about whether there's whitespace or not. :P

:(
nah, I'll add it as a hint.
don't rollback

10:19 PM
okay
You could just link to puzzling.stackexchange.com/revisions/8023/2, I guess

yeah
done
this is so obvious

Well to you, of course it is :P

All I have concluded is that I won't be participating on Puzzling

yay, I'm driving people away

> There are no items for you to review, matching the filter "off-topic, too broad, primarily opinion-based; [linux]"
I need to do that in SO

10:28 PM
Next goal: get @Undo suspended on Puzzling for actively driving users away.

waits for canned 'abusive to others' message

:D

@Bart Sure thing, just a second

There, that should do it!

O_O

@Doorknob justice!

10:32 PM
can't see it, blame caching

Just keep refreshing @Braiam

user259867
@Doorknob Violation of moderator agreement; the "consecutive days" info is mod-only.

heh

Is there an exchange where questions about the international use of television codecs are on topic?
I read an article on Cracked today on how the USA has 2 competing codecs for UHD television, and I was wondering if that's also the case in Europe
but Movies and TV shows don't allow questions on content technology

10:40 PM
Not good. Power out and sun setting.

Internetting only from phone.

user259867
@NateKerkhofs I'm not sure if it's on topic there, but consider video.se.

user259867
@bjb568 Candlelight dinner opportunity.

@Fundamental now he only needs rats to make it special

10:50 PM
@Fundamental Video.se is aimed at video production, not video consumption
questions about home theater systems are off-topic

user259867
Hmm. There is something like that on Super User.

user259867
But no general home electronics SE site; I think that was deemed too broad ("gadgets.SE")

user259867
I'm afraid a question of the form "Is it true that Europe has 2 UHD standards" does not fit anywhere on SE. It's more of a search task than a question.

thought as much

user259867
Engineering.SE is in beta now.

11:03 PM

Q: Should we change the order of things in the Asking section of the Help Center?

SueIn our quest to improve the quality of questions, especially from newcomers, I wonder if we should change the order of categories in the Asking section of the Help Center. I especially think moving up some things that don't appear until "View More" is chosen would be helpful. This is a rough draf...

Is that even possible?
I didn't think it was.

@Frank I think.
You'd need to poke a CM though.

@Frank Not by mods, but by SE staff, maybe

user259867
On per-site basis?

@Doorknob ehh, mods can

11:06 PM
@Braiam No, we can't

lol

@Doorknob check again

The only help center article that's diamond-customizable is /help/on-topic

@Fundamental Yeah, certain articles can be "pinned", I'm fairly sure.

@Doorknob that's the one we are talking about, no?

@Braiam No, we're talking about the order of the articles.

@Doorknob ohhh

user259867
11:34 PM
I vaguely remember someone mentioning that Smokey is able to post site-specific messages to a site-specific room. Is this correct?

@Fundamental Yep
And we can exclude certain reasons from posting in certain rooms

user259867
@Undo Cool. I'll run the idea by other room owner in a specialized Math chatroom.
