Hello, just a short question. Are answers that hint at best practices and ask for further debug output from the author of the original question considered answers? Example

user259867
@Rangad Looks like a comment to me, and mostly redundant now. Flag as Not an answer.

I did but it got declined by a mod, that's why I asked here ;)

user259867

A: Why was my "not an answer" flag declined?

Robert HarveyCompare: I would suggest using $_SESSION to store a variable on the client side. With: Has anyone found a solution for this yet? Thanks for the solution, but I still have a problem... Here is my updated code [should be an edit to the question] I like turtles.

@Rangad is a PHP question... just give up

Thanks, would explain the declined flag, even if it's not the same. (The linked answer introduced a different concept to solve the problem, the other answer just suggests to rename a few variables and asks for clarification (debug output).) @Braiam ...then again, thats true ;)
thanks for your time

My school is weird, it just has letters.
People are endlessly complaining about 69.49, 79.49, 89.49…

I once got a 99.75 on my final exam in 6th grade.

4:18 AM
While we are on the topic of education, let me start on a mild .
So this year, my state (Ohio) decided to kill off their previous graduation tests (OGT), replacing it with the PARCC tests (the common core of death)...

DEM IDIOTS PUT KIDS IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEER PRESSURE AND IMPERSONAL TEACHING AND GRADE THEM BASED ON "EFFORT", IE CRAPPY HOMEWORK WORKSHEET DOINGNESS THEN STRESS OUT KIDS AND EXCEPT THEM TO PERFORM THEIR BEST ON TESTS!
Look, effort that would be put into grammar there ^ got put into holding down shift since I disabled CAPSLOCK.

google chrome crashed...

On the plus side, you are still told to memorize vocab for 15 minutes (since most people prepare for vocab test 15m in advanced and forget immediately after) for the SAT which has that vocab section which is not going away anytime soon…

user259867
@bjb568 convertcase.net

Well....

4:23 AM
On primary school education: Gifted kids are helled back in normal stupid classes to inflate test scores.

(continued)...but I've already taken most of the classes that are being tested (Alg1, Geometry, physical science). The PARCC tests are on a 1-5 scale. For students that have already passed the courses being tested, they are giving us an automatic, undisputable 3 ("proficient"), that will go on our transcript to colleges, etc. Whereas, a at-level student who takes that course this year and gets a 5 ("advanced") will look better than all the advanced students.

lol nice typo @bjb

:P

@bjb568 I found quite the contrary was true in my district. Many students were placed in above-level classes in middle/late elementary school, and had to drop down to a lower class when they could not conquer the challenge. Even the gifted students were pushed to take the more challenging courses. For example, when I was in 5th grade, 7 students took Prealgebra. Only 2 went on to algebra the next year (the rest dropped back. One of the two got Cs in the first two quarters of the next year)

Weird.
Schools seem to be notoriously bad at selecting good teachers.

4:28 AM
@bjb568 Especially middle school, IMO.

I really should go to bed… I'm sick and tired and it's 23:29…
