A: Exclude comment flags from the helpful flag count during moderator election

Shog9The big issue I have with this is that we're making a value judgement on something that's... Pretty iffy all around. We want folks to flag truly problematic comments, just as we want them to flag truly problematic posts. As you note, it's easy enough to "farm" flag counts by flagging worthless (b...

Feedback, pls
(also, I'm stealing your idea, @Fundamental)

(The whole citizenship score thingy sounds great, btw.)

Finally? Stealing ideas is all I do here.

Should suggested edits contain code fixes?

@LynnCrumbling depends

@rene My gut says reject, but it fixes uncompilable code. I dunno.

rejected

@rene Curious what your case is for 'yes, fix is accepted'
> Lynn Crumbling has approved 696 edit suggestions and rejected 2 edit suggestions
Well, that's blatantly wrong.
I've probably rejected hundreds.

yeah, that number is borked

> rene has approved 1110 edit suggestions and rejected 1 edit suggestions
this must be the '1' you rejected :)

@LynnCrumbling in code I only accept identation/layout in an answer if not python

@LynnCrumbling is a bug

@rene ah, well - that makes plenty of sense.
@Braiam ok.. good to know; thanks

7:35 PM
I now only visit the suggest-edit queue to reject stuff on request

this week... I started playing with WPF using MVVM. I really was hating it. Today I had that 'ah-ha!' moment.. now I think I'm falling in love with it.
@rene It's frustrating to see a suggestion get accepted that you know is crap.

Yeah, that is the reason I stopped handling those reviews
I'm not here to get frustrated

@Shog9 Looks great!
The only thing I'm wondering is if those caps are good enough to prevent gaming during an election..
I have no respect for people who nominate themselves and then go on a flagging/answer/reviewing spree just to make their stats look good and then leave as soon as the election is over.

Why vote for me: my stats are not inflated by increased activity due to incoming moderator elections

7:42 PM
Not only is this a lie, but it makes bad candidates look much better than they are.

As if other elections did not do it

It would be a great stat. Average activity vs actvity last quater, last month, last week. If those last 3 are increasing and above the average ... that is a sign..

@JanDvorak Don't anthropomorphize elections, they hate it.

user259867
@ɥʇǝS A possible solution: display the stats as of the day before the election was announced.

hmm, that didn't quite work.
@Fundamental Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

@Inf et al.: regarding boolean pings: I'm still fine with it, but please one per bot post. I've also been very busy with school, so the bot hasn't been updated in a while, but I'll get to it hopefully this weekend.

@Undo There you go, I accidentally started a timed game with someone, thus the delay.

@Mooseman Bajotz is a spammer, promoting their site with nonsensical posts filled with some variation of "bajotz". Was seen several times already.

@Fundamental Doesn't really matter if we use abusive or spam though. They cause the same penalty but they'll still just make another account. :/

ExpressionEngine® Answers graduated. surprised. With 1.4k visits/day, it's the lowest-traffic graduated site. I even picked it for LOREM IPSUM test because of how slow it is...

> Slapping Overflow at the end, it is nearly as bad as our old habit of adding "Answers" at the end of names. WordPress Answers, Travel Answers... it's agony in a bucket and there's a reason we, as well as the afflicted communities from our past transgressions, strive to end that pattern. -- Grace Note

Not striving hard enough, it seems. Could have renamed ExpressionEngine® Answers prior to graduation.

Currently pitching the idea that we classify our project statuses with the 5 stages of grief. We’ll see how this goes.
