WTF IS GOING ON?

is obvious @FinalContest, someone is trying to express their love for you, but they bully you instead ;)

as the theft hunters say in Hungary, "dear someone, you can hide, but you cannot escape" :)

@Braiam: perhaps that guy got angry I pointed out he does not know C properly for at least 15 years? :) stackoverflow.com/a/2223553/2682142

Did the two of you not have previous run-ins @FinalContest?
You and this Andrew

What is the point of the zoo of bad answers in this thread? stackoverflow.com/q/2223541/2682142
they are clearly bad, people do not downvote them, and we cannot get them deleted.

6:21 PM
@FinalContest at first sight, they look like good ole concurrent answers. And they seem technically correct. And some are gone.

6:40 PM
@FinalContest Well, you're a spiteful one, aren't you? And all because I pointed out that you made a nonsensical comment. — JLRishe 3 mins ago

@JanDvorak: you are clearly not a C programmer.
nor does anyone seem to agree with you in that thread, I must say
@JanDvorak: yes, that comment is pretty non-constructive, not sure what is so funny about it, but it was flagged as NC anyway.

Out-of-context titles strike again: How can I increase my chances of getting cancer?

@3ventic that's old

Anyone know about SSL certificates and certificate-based authentication?

Not me.

A tiny bit but basically nothing

Maybe I'll go ask on Security SE.

Sounds like a plan.

Oh nice, I only had to type a paragraph to get an awesome duplicate.

@animuson The System Works™

Why is it that everyone on this site tries to spread their ideas of "The right way"TM instead of actually answering the question? Is programming, there is often no correct answer as there are multiple ways of dealing with problems. Even though solutions like this are probably what you want to use if you were building something for nasa, it might not be the right solution if you want to just hack something together in five minutes and then never look at it again. In sum, yes, provide your link on "the right way" in case that it is relevant to him, but also answer the question that was asked. — chacham15 1 min ago

I can't seem to find an openssl.cnf file...

@FinalContest sure, just "hack something together in five minutes" until a long time later you find out that your quick hack is what's cause these "weird" issues you've been trying to hunt down. But of course that never happens.

sigh Stupid people freaking out because the sirens are going off. Those mean look and figure out what's going on. They don't always mean "tornado" you flipping morons.

Over the last 4 years we’ve built up quite a bevy of moderation tools here at Stack Exchange.  We’ve got closing, editing, deleting, flags of all sorts, voting, commenting, review queues, and more.

Plus our super secret mod tools.

These all work great, but they all require action after a post is made. This is a lot of work for the community, and not particularly friendly toward those posting, particularly new users. In a perfect world, we’d be able to offer specific, targetted guidance for authors whose posts were likely to be shot down, before they ever showed up on the site, and without requiring as much up-front effort from our community. …

the job post link is now 404...
