Finally!

@3ventic that's epic !

@3ventic congrats!

@3ventic you deserve a gold badge for this!
LOL
this is hilarous
2048 is already reserved for lazy loading

Apparently the trick was to skip up arrow completely until forced to use it..

3:27 PM
that reminds me of my dark plot to grab the [unicorns] tag badge on meta

@3ventic now go and beat Flappy Bird!
I know you got the power :D

Oh heeeell no

@ShadowWizard now go and beat Flappy Bird Superman 64! I know you got the power stomach.
fixed
and be grateful I didn't say ET :P

ahahahaha

3:35 PM
@SPArchaeologist I'd prefer to beat this one before doing what you suggested!

(I live of jrpg)
anyway, do you prefer Mr Hide?
(yep, the actual title is different but I'm not going to invoke it)

4:07 PM
Is it possible to link my SEDE profile to my SE profile?

4:23 PM
@Stijn nope
SEDE is third party

sigh. more quasiserial downvotes on me today.

5:09 PM

Q: Question is being accepted from blocked users?

Karthik SurianarayananWhen I try posting questions from my PC, it says you are blocked and you cannot post question. But when I post questions from my mobile application, Stack Overflow accepts them. What is the reason for this? Note: Actually my account is banned from asking question. But my android application allo...

seems bug as per the question

I wonder why this tag isn't used more often status-deferred

Because people aren't creative enough to come up with features they eventually want to implement?

Take for example this bounty that only has 1 day remaining that, in my opinion, deserves an answer.

Q: Allow Shorter Duration Bounties

mhlesterI don't personally have an immediate need for this, but it seems like there must be those for whom it could be a life saver. Allow bounties to be placed with shorter duration. Since the Featured page is sorted by date, this allows the question to jump higher on the list and gain more immediate e...

I don't see why this shouldn't be implemented. I would think many users would at least want a moderator to answer this question.

Just curious, if you know you're blocked for asking poor-quality questions, why would you use this to post more poor-quality questions? You just dug the hole a little bit deeper. Credit for reporting the bug though, I guess. — Bill the Lizard 2 mins ago

hi room

hi durron

I was typing out a Meta question about opinion based questions when this popped up as a suggested question:
3
Q: How should I ask a question if I don't know it has a definitive answer?

JordanThis kind of question is especially common in "best practices" topics. A common experience in programming is choosing one of two apparently trivially different alternatives that "seems right" and then realizing later that the chosen option causes unforeseen issues with anything from compatibility...

which is pretty much verbatim what I was typing.
however, there isn't really a good answer there

Eeek!

I honestly don't know if the two options i'm considering for a certain thing in my program have one option being superior or the other, and if there is little difference then the question is definitely opinion based
3ventic - are you saying that a Euro style is bad or are you lamenting the lack of ISO-8601
or the fact that seconds are displayed and you cant choose them

I'm saying Chrome's datetime input is bugged.

6:44 PM
oh because they match
haha!

It shows that, but the element itself says value="1970-01-01T00:00:01"
it doesn't change :s

If someone posts a question about something, in this case regex, where and how should it include the language the regex will be implemented in?
Title, body, tags, or a combination of those?

Body at the very least

I'd say tags & body.

I'd say tags too if it matters to the question

If it were already in the tags and not the body, should it be suggested-edited into the body?

Not sure if it's a bit too minor for a suggested edit..

8:15 PM
I thought it would probably be a bit too minor.

8:49 PM
@hichris123 @TGMCians close vote event is starting in 10 minutes...

@rene I don't have any close votes left : (
Left out of the fun again.

@rene Grr! I just did my 40.
sigh

Let's go rob the close vote store @hichris123

The both of you: subcribe here :-)

Done. :D

8:52 PM
I've seen some cases were Q-bans were no longer enforced due to a bug. Maybe we can ask for a 'bug' that gives unlimited close votes?

@rene Sorry, but I'm not subscribing. I don't have the self-control to save my close votes.

That is ok @LowerClassOverflowian :-)
done @hichris123

@LowerClassOverflowian I have some left. What do you need closevoted? We cater.

9:05 PM
Lol. I appreciate the offer. But I think you guys will have your hands full as it is.

9:48 PM
Why do we use the tag on mSO to talk about Ask Different?

@hichris123 because apple.SE

Because the url is apple.se?
Nice timing @3ventic :D

Perfect

@Bart But... people use it for stuff talking about OS X...

It should probably be changed..

9:52 PM
people are idiots @hichris123
3
There @hichris123, cleaned up the misuse of that tag.

@Bart Thanks. :D

10:07 PM
Unfortunately, as you probably already know, people

Hmm, good to see that my spidey-senses were still intact.

Note: I'm not 100% sure if this question will be on-topic here, but it's easier to just post the question and find out than go to Meta and ask if it's on-topic and then later post the question if it is. [/meta-experience] — animuson 4 mins ago

@animuson Seems fine to me
(as someone whose main site that is)

The help center specifically mentioned hardware and I wasn't sure if the anatomy of game cases fell under that.

in The Bridge on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, 27 secs ago, by Fluttershy
@Lazers This feels overly broad.

What... happened here? I improved it... but yet I edited first?

11:13 PM
It's a rare bug..

There's a report for it somewhere but that seems like it was forever ago.

It's another episode of this, too:

A: Can a user gain more than 2 rep for editing?

Amal MuraliNope. It isn't possible to gain more than 2 points for making a single edit. As Mat pointed out in the comments, the edit revisions history does look weird: This could be a bug, but I'm not exactly sure what's causing this.

11:28 PM
	var rooms = [
		new Room({
			name: 'a dark hole',
			items: [
				new Item({
					name: 'a ladder',
					actions: {
						'climb': function() { console.log('climbing ladder') }
					}
				})
			]
		}),
		new Room({
			name: 'a grassland'

@hichris123 looks like a minor race condition - the timestamps are identical, so your edit just for recorded slightly before the original suggestion

very nesting
such arrays
many objects
wow

the meta post you linked has two revisions from the same user, which seems different. (but to be fair, I haven't looked much closer.)

@AnnaLear Huh. Is that a bug with improving suggested edits? Or did everything just happen too quickly? :P

I supposed it's technically a bug... but I feel so incredibly meh about being strictly accurate here.

11:31 PM
Aren't all developers supposed to be accurate, espcially when they work for SE? :P

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha sob

The following seems to be an easy fix, that has only been partially addressed:

Stop making Anna feel incredibly meh. That's not nice.

Q: 10K-tools information oddities

WernerThe 10K-tools right-column shows some information regarding the review process: Under What is this?, \r\n should be removed (is a clear bug). The link to chat should end the sentence and require an ending period. I am unable to view this on other sites (due to too low reputation), so I'm no...

Are there any mods/SE staff that could add a period after "chat"?

@AnnaLear Yeah... you mind looking into that one? It happened to me, too, if you need another post to look at. Meta question on it.

11:33 PM
@Werner mods can't. I'll take care of it.

@animuson Sorry! ;)

@AnnaLear Sure, thanks Anna...
@AnnaLear Once it's fixed, you could post an answer and retag as .

I could! I might! :)
@hichris123 hmm. gonna be a bit before I get to that, but sure.

The . after chat is missing on Arqade too, but there's no \r\n

@3ventic it's the same code for all sites

11:36 PM
@3ventic Yes, that was changed, but the . is still MIA.

Most of the code seems to be the same for all sites.

@3ventic Most, yes...

@3ventic One codebase runs everything except A51, chat, and stackexchange.com
There is an occasional special case for individual sites, but otherwise...

@AnnaLear What about this then...

Q: Can the box made by the <kbd> HTML tag be made smaller?

Torbjørn T.Keyboard input can be indicated with the kbd HTML tag, as in <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>S</kbd> which displays as Ctrl + S. The boxes created by this tag are quite large, so that they are in contact with the line below, and if such boxes occur directly above one another on different lines they ove...

Configuration, styles and 3rd party stuff like mathjax are differences I guess?

11:38 PM
@3ventic yep, those are the main ones

@AnnaLear We seem to be lacking proper SE-wide support for the HTML tags <kbd>...</kbd>.

4
A: Console controller button images instead of <kbd> used mainly for PC keys

badpFor some reason, we have been stuck with (jjj) these not-great-looking kbd tags that just don't work well in most contexts, such as when used inline (notice how their baseline is lower than normal text and how those j's and this line right here, look, hit the box) or inside lists. Some people th...

The big kbds seem like a common issue

@Werner that's a site-specific style thing... not really my department per se, but I can bug Jin later.

@AnnaLear Ahhh, Jin's the "culprit"...

Maintaining individual styles for graduated sites is occasionally ... interesting

11:39 PM
Would probably be best to check all the kbds at once then ;)

@3ventic :)

@3ventic that's the thing. setting one style for all sites isn't guaranteed to work... because graduations.

Yeah, I sort of meant to check all the stylesheets

@TheGuywithTheHat grats!

11:39 PM
Thanks!

@TheGuywithTheHat Welcome to the club!

@3ventic yeah, no. it's so minor.

@3ventic There's a club?

Oh right, you have so many stylesheets..
I don't know.
It feels too easy running a small site when you get some insight about something on the scale of SE..
Caching barely makes a difference, only a few files
barely any 3rd party dependencies
barely anyone to nag about broken things

> eBay: You opened a case

11:47 PM
I'm still learning the dev ropes around here myself

Wooo, gotta love opening cases.

@Doorknob Try to keep the highest value in the top left corner.
And never press the "down" key
That's the strategey I developed
