If a user deletes his own question, does it clear the flags for it?

Q: What happens when a post I flagged is self-deleted before the flag was reviewed?

MrHenThe sequence of events: I flagged an answer as "not an answer" I downvoted the answer The user responded to the downvote by deleting the answer As of this writing, the flag still appears in my flagging summary The questions: What will happen now? Will the flag be left alone and just sit the...

Well, I flagged the question as offensive, the OP deleted the question, and the flag completely disappeared. It didn't get dismissed.
and I honestly still believe it should be looked at, but you can't flag a deleted post as offensive
It could be possible that the OP deleted the question while I was in the process of flagging and it didn't go through...

Hmm
Well, I thought the behaviour changed at some point after this too, but I'm having trouble finding anything additional.

Peanut butter Oreos :o

3:55 AM
I'm not convinced those sound good.

4:10 AM
:o How dare you. Peanut butter things are always good!

4:23 AM
Counterpoint: Have you tried Reese's Puffs cereal?

Yes I have, still peanut buttery goodness.

I...I'm not sure how to respond to that.

Can 10k users rename/merge tags, or only diamond moderators?

Only diamonds.
@TimStone Have you tried a Snickers Peanut Butter Squared?

Thanks

6:45 AM
@ThinkingStiff Diamonds get all the earthshattering powers (irreversible stuff, access to sekrit stuff, etc)
10ks just get deletion powers and a few tools

7:22 AM
I've noticed that there are tags and .
Should they be synonyms?

Looks like it.

@animuson I see you've already suggested a synonym. I'd upvote, but I don't have any rep in those tags.

Lol, nothing will happen to it until a moderator takes action anyways. But at least this way I won't forget to bug them later.

ok
thanks again
See you later!

@animuson Voted
A merge makes more sense here
@animuson I also pinged BoltClock in TL, hopefully he'll merge it

@animuson No. :P

How dare you close that question, balpha! We deserve to know why Stack Overflow was down for 8.4 seconds.

3:20 PM
I actually don't know what to think about this question. I think it's...off-topic?

Why is there no floating head in this room?

You have to settle for kilroy.

Dear coworkers,
If *every* e-mail you send me is marked "sent with High Importance", the effect on my priority list is probably the opposite of what you intended.
Hugs and kisses,
Josh

drafts sexual harassment complaint

You're right, that's far too familiar. I should have gone with "Joshua"

And marked it "ULTIMATE SEVERITY", naturally.

7:15 PM
Hahaha, I want my Outlook to have that button now.

@jadarnel27 You're not satisfied with having a "Reply to All" button that connects directly to The Tavern?

I just actually laughed out loud.

stars the entire conversation.

On a related note, I'm going to commit textual homicide on the next red exclamation point I see.

On a completely unrelated note, what's your e-mail address?

7:23 PM
mootinator, you are just asking for an "ULTIMATE SEVERITY" e-mail, with the Tavern CC'd.

Scuse me while I go check on my Kickstarter proj... I mean work.

Is it sad if I take about 15 seconds to choose two socks when all of my socks are exactly the same? o.o
^ That message is of high importance, of course.

! I require the ability to create red exclamation points in chat.
[#ff0000]![/#ff0000] will do.

Nah, a red exclamation point is not obnoxious enough. It needs to be the red rounded triangle with the exclamation point inside it.

Oh that's easy. BE IT KNOWN THAT THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE SHALL BE OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE:
Maybe a smaller one next time.

Oh, what in the trash-garbage is going on in here now?

8:17 PM
We're having a very important conversation...

@PopularDemand What is that, exactly?

Q: What does the red exclamation point icon in Eclipse mean?

Lord TorgamusWhat does the red exclamation point icon in Eclipse mean? There are lots of different search results on the Internet about "red exclamation point icons" and "red exclamation mark decorators" and "red bang icons," no doubt because lots of plugins and programming-related tools use red exclamation p...

I knew I recognized that one. Assumed it was from Outlook.
No star for you.
=)

@PopularDemand Oh, haha. Nice reference. It has been quite some time since I used Eclipse.

has never used Eclipse

8:20 PM
used Eclipse until he got a chance to sell his body for the $200 required to buy IntelliJ.

@mootinator Counter-request: Users who make use of the "red exclamation point" feature must reveal their home address and top 3 biggest fears on their profile.

Yaaay

@jadarnel27 So I can't use my PO Box?

@animuson Are you allowed to receive live arachnids in your PO Box?

8:23 PM
I'm not sure, I only bought the PO box as an address to put on my domains. I never get mail there...
Except advertisements for genuine gucci bags.

Incidentally, my worst fear is having something horrible happen to @jadarnel27.
(h/t to Game of Thrones for the idea.)

Damn it Um, make sure you put your top 3. Just to, uh, be thorough.

Hi folks.

Aw, dude just reverted my favorite part of that edit =P

Hi.
> Rewriting history is just doubleplus unright.

8:30 PM
My biggest fear is Sarah Palin.

I mentioned 1984 to my wife this morning and she had no idea what it was.

@mootinator Yeah, I decided to just leave that one alone.

@mootinator We're living in a brave new world, it seems.

@animuson I can't tell whether your biggest fear is Sarah Palin or you want to meet Sarah Palin. You're good at this.

Why would I want to meet her? It's bad enough I can see her from my house.

8:33 PM
You live in Russia?
Wait, what?

^ joke
I believe she moved to New Mexico though.
So now she can see Mexico from her house.

I hate how those New Mexicans just romp around the US like legitimate citizens.

@mootinator I think you're confused about some things.

@jadarnel27 I know all about those illegal aliens from Roswell.

I hate that we moved away from literary puns so quickly. @DanielFischer was onto something there.

8:38 PM
Hi folks

@jadarnel27 Apparently I missed it.

Hällo!
Oops, sorry, I meant "Hello!".
My e and ä keys are right next to each other.

I think @Moshe has a slow stutter =)

@jadarnel27 Wait what?
Ah, haha

@mootinator We're living in a brave new world, it seems.
@Moshe =P

8:39 PM
I'm living in Israel.
Spent four days in the Old City of Jerusalem, currently elsewhere, because I got sick of the dormitory I was at. Needed a break.

Achievement get: 515 reputation in one day! :D

what dormitory were you in?

@jadarnel27 I mean I missed the pun, not the literary reference.

@RebeccaChernoff A school called "Aish Hatorah". They have a building directly above the plaza of the Western Wall. The dorm is a five minute walk from there.
I'm flying the StackExchange colors here. Got all four of my SE related tee shirts here.

@mootinator Pun was the wrong word. Somethings wrong with muh brain.

8:43 PM
I picked up so many free tee shirts at WWDC that I could have simply gone bare chested and come home with a full wardrobe.

@Moshe ah. my dad was just there a few weeks ago, stayed at Beit Shmuel

@RebeccaChernoff Where is that?
I've been here for 2 weeks already, btw.

Birthright doesn't let us leave the bus. I felt like I was part of scooby-doo, driving around in a purple and green van.

@jadarnel27 if(new DateTime() == DateTime.Best && new DateTime() == DateTime.Worst) { tales.Add('London'); tales.Add('Paris'); }

8:46 PM
@RebeccaChernoff Ah, so that's in the modern part of Jerusalem. I was inside the Old City.

@mootinator That was elaborate. And awesome.

@mootinator I don't get it.
I wasn't going to ask, but...
I am :)

@jadarnel27 Stay tuned for the exciting ending where an executioner makes the silly mistake of using Equals where he should have used ReferenceEquals.

@mini Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

@minitech ^ That.

8:52 PM
@DanielFischer Oh. I have to go borrow that some time.

@mootinator Oh, come on. At least throw a "spoiler alert" in there.

It's the answer to a lot of Jeopardy! questions too :)

@jadarnel27 There's a statute of limitations on that, I'm pretty sure.

Hahah, good point.

@Moshe yeah, just outside the wall, couldn't remember until I looked it up

1 hour later…
10:15 PM
@Lix - Heading to your area for Shabbat. Will be in Petach Tikvah. Perhaps Sunday or Monday meet up?

goes and buys drink to take advil with
forgets to take advil

@moot Haha

10:30 PM
I'd say there's a pretty major problem when a project takes 10 minutes to start up.
Too bad that never comes into play when choosing a framework.
