@GregHewgill This looks great. I've been using Newt, but have always felt that Growl notifications alone were a poor fit for the global inbox (I don't want my screen obscured while I wait to address a message).

On that note, I can't wait for Mountain Lion to add their nice system-wide notification system. It (from what little we know) looks swell. I hope to see it supported in the future. ;P

If the link on the "we're not accepting any more questions" message was a link to a page not on meta would that reduce the amount of crazy "I got banned so I'll try here instead" questions that meta sees?

It seems likely that the people who ask these only find meta because of that, even if they don't read it

(This is just musing, not advocating policy change. Not a member of the community and all that.) I'm surprised to read that Hackintosh questions are banned on SU because they don't want to been as encouraging license violations. Jeoleff decreed that DRM-cracking questions were okay, though that's also license-violating.

Q: Can one ask Hackintosh questions on Ask Different?

Hackintosh or OSx86 is Mac OS X running on non-Apple hardware. But since the software is still by Apple (most of it), is one allowed to ask questions pertaining to a Hackintosh here?
