Well, I'm experiencing a bug with some code I wrote and I've implemented a temporary fix.
When dealing with currencies, for some reason, using a grouping separator (like a comma) causes numbers to be truncated or misunderstood. I'm at a loss as to why.
For now, I'm simply disallowing commas from the input.
For some reason, entering a value greater than 1K (I think values that are not multiples of 1K) truncate everything except the hundreds place and down.
@Moshe decimalNumberWithString()? The documentation says it doesn't handle separators, but it doesn't really explain what happens if you give it an unacceptable value.
I'm a bit too tired to start mucking around in three places. (A formatting method and then some UI action stuff), but it's going up on my whiteboard for tomorrow.
What would be nice is "don't suggest this person as a friend". Yes, there's people I went to school with, and no, I don't want to be friends with some of them.
It has it's uses. I do like that it makes it easier to keep in touch with people.
@tombull89 Good point.
Dang it, Ubuntu! Why can't I apply the kernel updates? I've tried to be careful about what I've installed. Granted, I do have some other PPAs in there.
Here's another good use for it. Recently, a college buddy of mine got in touch looking to couch crash in order to save some money for a trip he'd like to take. I sent an email to a friend of mine and got them in touch through FB to discuss it.
It's also mentioned in the faq, but I imagine that's a minor detail.
that ^^^
> Rooms not worth retaining which are inactive for 7 days will be deleted. Rooms worth retaining which are inactive for 14 days will be frozen. Frozen rooms do not allow any new messages to be sent, and are not shown in the default room list to prevent cluttering the rooms interface.
On a different note, I've decided that the solution to this issue is to pretend to post the @lert, only to have it immediately obliterated with fanciful animation by the comment gods.
> Rooms will exist indefinitely, so long as there is at least one person actively talking in the room. A room is considered worth retaining if it has more than 15 messages by at least 2 users.
But I am using same webservices for iPhone(works fine),Android(In HTC Wildfire except 768 × 576 all other works fine) and BlackBerry(not yet started).Give me suggestion,Should I make 3 different Webservices or as I am doing using only 1 web-service only?
No idea. I was answering the specific question of how to change the dimensions. I don't know what encodings are supported by each of those platforms. That's something that you'll need to determine.
@Manjot Contrary to the common belief I actually do some work too as an Android developer and don't get my money for playing browser games or something. I know very well what problems you can face due to the hardware fragmentation of Android. You have to be creative that is all.
You could research and figure out the "one true" codec/resolution that works on all devices (if one exists) and just serve that up, using handbrake or something else to convert everything to that specific codec/resolution..
Using JQuery UI, I would like to set the html content of the currently selected tab, without knowing any id/title in advance. What is the best method for doing so? Thanks!
@Manjot Well, no. If the content is under your control you will have to make sure that the content is smart enough to resize itself accordingly or you have to send a device identifier on a resource request and make sure to get an appropriate version from your web service. If none of it is under your control, well, then you have a problem.
I found on SO that value-type (92) is more popular as value-types (36).
But as far as I could see, plural form is preferred.
So maybe merge one into another?
Doubtful. There is a chat feedback room for those requests.
Additionally, consider the request. Some posts may be private. At least with twitter or the like, most people don't want to share private tweets. Also, most people don't make things private.
Also consider that Google+ is still in early days, so things may change in the future.
So as not to be too hipster, but if you haven't heard of these, well ...
