It's kind of an obscure error. And the way it manifests itself when communicating with Stack Exchange is just bizarre.

Well, it just happens randomly. But it also happens virtually instantly, which given the nature of the error seems pretty illogical.

In other news, GameSurge apparently deleted my authserv account. So, now that I finally was motivated enough to set up an IRC client on this machine, I don't have access to the one room in which I used to idle.

No one's around in the room to do anything about it, so it's not like I'm missing anything. LOL

It's not like they don't have a crap load of cameras around those places though, so clearly no one checks for anything suspicious. I guess it's one of those things where it's too much to check unless you know you need it?

Yeah, it's not an easy thing to do. Sure, you only have to look at the parts of the tape that contain people in them, but that still has to be a lot of tape.

@YiJiang It means the connection was dropped, for w/e reason. Happens to me all the time in the CLI when I leave it running forever and come back to it later.

Yeah, that problem came up a lot on this Drupal site I know of. The PHP process would die due to memory constraints trying to insert something irresponsibly huge into the database, and then the MySQL Server would go away for a while.

I just added a comment to this question - Why is my game-of-life code so verbose?. After adding the comment, I was marked as having edited the question - which I did not! Adding the same comment a second time worked fine.

I'm hesitant to up-vote that, since it seems too unlikely to be true. :P
