What do you need to do so that an existing php site can handle potentially millions of users?
I'm supposing here that the site's design and architecture and code isn't really what it should be like for this kind of a site.

@drachenstern - I have you a +1 on that, but it is a mixed bag, like "pragmatism over idealism in programmers" ... alot of hyperbole and 'one size fits all' for a world too complex to make those assertions.
@drachenstern - on lazy programming, I would say that make any architectural mistakes and pain will be felt later, but by then hopefully you are managing not coding .... so really it isn't lazy programming but "pass the buck" programming
@AidenBell I think he meant it more in the sense to vigilantly avoid feature creep by doing as little as possible upfront and then move in the appropriate directions as the user base grows.
The users of this particular project's software aren't exactly the most quick-moving bunch anyway, so the release schedule is actually very quick for the space.

Hi, I want to get the current URL from the IE (.NET 4) . To do so, I added a reference to Microsoft Interner Controls and added the code (from http://omegacoder.com/?p=63)

but I get 2 err...
@TimStone Upgrade that borked the board, ended up rebuilding from scratch. Well, the database was still good, just had to recreate it all locally and copy of the web files. Still, not what I wanted to do in my free time this past week.

simply <? echo "this page is referred by google.com" ?> instead using document.write(document.referrer);, think again, u know u REFER 2.php from 1.php why would u use http_referrer ?

http referrer is controlled by referrer, u cannot force public user to install ...
@TimStone you know, you need to write the document what you think you want, because there's no way you can actually do something technical and be accurate
