@DroidDev something you installed, even Java arrives with malware these days. (some crappy "Amazon" toolbar)

Even big and respected companies (like Oracle) want more money, so if someone pays them enough, they will inject any crap inside legit software.

Usually they put it behind a "Yes, install this [malware name here]" checkbox, ticked by default of course, so they can say "But we gave the user way out of it!" in court.

Q: In-text Adverts?

Is it me or has anyone else noticed these in-text ads, it's like they've been added overnight (literally)? I was on SO yesterday, and there was not a trace of any in-text ad; I logged in today and find there's an advert armageddon. Example, Can someone please explain what's going on here,...

@DroidDev Here's an idea. It could be that the thing's accessing the network to get these ads, so try navigating to some page in your browser and watch your network tab under the activity monitor for any possible culprits.

@Sam yes, I found out that with adblock. The urls are dynamically generated (I think), because if you feed one url to adblock, if blocks future ads from it, but they keep changing urls
