@ShadowWizardLoveZelda Workarounds, if posted by the author, are better edited into the question rather than posted as answers. If found by others, then they're better as answers. — Sonic the Anonymous Hedgehog 56 secs ago

I understood the spirit of your question. That's why I posted a comment, not an answer. I accept that your selection criteria is more complex than you first presented, but that changes nothing. In reality, you are using SEDE as just a source for all the data on your answers. That's something the SE API is specifically designed to do. I'd argue that what you're actually doing is even more a task for the SE API, which is intended for such programmatic access and can easily accomplish downloading as JSON the data you're currently getting from SEDE as a CSV file (which you then have to parse). — Makyen 6 secs ago

It seems ... inappropriate (to the point I'm tempted to flag this as R/A) ... to post this now when they extremely clearly state, and you obviously know, that they haven't deployed this to chat yet and they have given a very near-future date for doing that deployment. At least give them the until somewhat past the time they have stated it will happen. You're basically saying I don't trust you at all (in a more rude manner), even though they have done a good job on this project to announce it beforehand, keep up with updates, and address issues as they arise. — Makyen 8 secs ago
Since it relates to only one site on the network, this should be posted on that site's meta, not here on main meta. In fact, it's already been posted about there: Where did the "simulate this circuit" link go?. — W.O. 59 secs ago
IMO, this belongs here on MSE. While the specific thing does only affect a single site, it's nearly certain that it's the result of the network-wide change in the image uploader, given that the "simulate this circuit" functionality is directly tied into the URL used for those images. All of the bugs for this network-wide project are supposed to be here on MSE. — Makyen 10 secs ago
It's been posted about on electronics meta a few hours ago, but may be symptomatic of network-wide issues to come. — W.O. 20 secs ago

@W.O. no, since this is unique to a single site. It is off topic here. — Shadow Wizard Love Zelda 1 min ago
While I don't trust SE either and won't be surprised a bit if they'll end up not deploying this to chat at all, I do agree with @Makyen that it's too early to rant about it in a post. Since imgur will simply drop the support soon, it means chat upload will be totally broken soon, probably 6-8 weeks or even less, and then we'll see what, if anything, SE will do. — Shadow Wizard Love Zelda 27 secs ago
@ElementsInSpace well yeah, but changing that to the correct "The post has 95 revisions" would be too radical change, IMO. And revisions consist, usually, of edits and reviews leading to edits, so it's not totally wrong. — Shadow Wizard Love Zelda 35 secs ago
@W.O. if other unique features are bugged, each deserves its own bug report on the dedicated per-site meta. I had no idea what "Simulate this circuit" is at all, and would have voted to close this as "unclear", or "not related to Stack Exchange" if not for the comments which led me to realize there's such a feature in one of the SE sites. — Shadow Wizard Love Zelda just now
Fair enough. I take it there's a channel through which the staff get to know about per-site meta bug reports (at least if there's loads). @ShadowWizardLoveZelda — W.O. 12 secs ago

Is there a reason for the markdown list? I feel like it could as well be a normal sentence. — dan1st 37 secs ago
@ElementsInSpace yes, because the OP asks "And do I get the rest right?" before that, so if it's not right, making it right in the question with edit is wrong, IMO. — Shadow Wizard Love Zelda 31 secs ago
What W.O. points out is that you might have to break up the question into several parts - especially since, as you say, "the question has several different aspects" - and ask those on appropriate sites (and as for your earlier comment: that "bureaucracy" is there for a reason, and is usually the product of great deliberation of the community, and can, even so, still be discussed on a community's meta site. Yes, knowledge should be valued above categorization, but that's an extremely blurry starting point, since that might suggest everyone can just dump anything there in the name of knowledge.) — Joachim 45 secs ago
@dan1st Yes, they group the words around the focal points of this long sentence. It does not look badly to my eye, but I am not sure. — peterh 46 secs ago
Does this answer your question? Upvoting comments from review queues often fails because t.state is null — Joachim 53 secs ago
I don't exactly see how this was a reversal, more, the careers feature (job ads) is just getting a domain of it's own and a featured link to it — Kevin B 21 secs ago
@dan1st Another important problem is that the this site is very evil, you get a bunch of downs for anything. In my case, the first down has already happened. However, if the community votes so deeply down for anything, that also actually removes my urge to do anything differently. So we have a clear mutually hostile stance and I do not change a f..g bit in the post. I am sad on that, but please understand me. — peterh 50 secs ago
@KevinB Yes. But the SO had good jobs. Later, I asked the HR girl by my employer, had she seen my Stack Overflow profile page? And the answer was surprising, she did not even knew that it existed :-) And I have lost yet another hope... — peterh 14 secs ago
@Shadow Staff have been on it since before I added the tag. I won't change a post to status-review unless I know someone is already actively looking at it (or that the person who will owes me a favor). — Aaron Bertrand 51 secs ago
@peterh i'm not sure why you @'d me on that, none of that is relevant to my comment, ;) It is true that most people outside of the tech world wouldn't be aware of SO or it's Jobs board. This new SO Jobs will just be a list of jobs from indeed, and as such noone will need to be aware of it's existence... since it doesn't really exist without indeed. — Kevin B 23 secs ago
@KevinB Ok. I think, for us, it does not really matter if it is an indeed project or an SO project. I would not close out that actually it is a very big ad project for the indeed. We will see that on the IPs (if the new Job SO is in the indeed network, it is more likely an indeed.com marketing project as an SO development project). We will see - I think, this "no personal data is shared" thing also means, the HR guys not even this time will even know, how big bunch of wonderful answers did I write, and it won't help me in selection processes... — peterh 11 secs ago
6:52 PM
I do think that if employers need to enable this explicitly via some toggle that isn't immediately visible (i.e. made so that only those actually wanting to post it on new SO jobs get it), it could bring quite a bit of value for the reasons explained here — dan1st 13 secs ago

I don't think "an error occurred" is any more descriptive than "unhandled web exception". In fact I think it's less descriptive. Both are clearly errors, but only one even hints at what kind of exception it is. — TylerH 52 secs ago
@TylerH I think the edit showing previous state was just meant to illustrate that the change didn't necessarily make anything worse, just that both states are similarly unactionable. — Aaron Bertrand just now

How is the question that you cited relevant to our discussion Under what circumstances may I add "urgent" or other similar phrases to my question, in order to obtain faster answers? - Meta Stack Overflow? — Timur Shtatland 59 secs ago
I did not add "the clock is ticking" to my question in the OP. My comment (not a question) was meant as a response to you. It was meant to explain why I want to chat with the suspended user - and cannot do so yet: "Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on my project at work, and my questions are pressing. So yes, this answerer is a good person to consult about this question of mine. But I cannot do this - not yet, at any rate." Please let me know if you have any questions about this. — Timur Shtatland 26 secs ago

Here is the start of this answer. Where is the evidence that it is LLM-generated? @SonictheAnonymousHedgehog Thank you for the link, I appreciate it! I found the answer by Catija useful, and agree with it. Moreover, in my final sentence above I do not ask for any evidence. I respect the rules around privacy of such evidence, and see the clear rationale for these rules. I simply state the obvious. Namely, no evidence available to me = the suspended user is not guilty in my view. I do not argue with the moderators who did what they did based on the information available to them. — Timur Shtatland 42 secs ago

I don't see why you'd want to convert it. bmp is a perfectly good format, supporting compressed 24-bit colour. — wizzwizz4 19 secs ago
@wizzwizz4 I think that comment was due to the file residing at i.sstatic.net/IYK4JzFW.png with the png extension so they assumed it was converted. If bmp ok then it should just be i.sstatic.net/IYK4JzFW.bmp — Cave Johnson 56 secs ago

I mean I don't mind if a host were to convert it to an objectively better format (PNG, I think, supports everything and more that common BMP formats used? plus the compression is better, and obligatory). But that's a storage and bandwidth optimization. As a user, it doesn't matter to me, all I want is a pixel-exact (or high quality lossy-compressed, if too many colors) image out the other side. — Tim Williams 52 secs ago
