@jadarnel27 I know, but 8 hours sleep since a long nap on Saturday afternoon , separated over 2 stints (and one foiled-by-a-phone-call-attempt) does quite a number on my sense of humor.
@jadarnel27 Yea, it was, thanks. Gotta drag myself out to work now. Or let them know that I'm working from home because I'm tired, it's raining, and I'm enjoying this secondhand Airon chair, which I claimed by virtue of cleaning it from what everyone else in the house was too lazy to clean.
(My Dad got it from his office when another office in the building closed.)
It's so cool to see projects coming together, ya know.
I'm just relaxing now. In this chair.
Typing about it to random strangers on the internet.

If there is already special handling when viewing deleted questions that I own, why not just let me view my own deleted questions? It's not like there is something I have not seen - I wrote the question =)
I sort of feel like posting that as a feature request, but I imagine it's been requested before.
@TimManishEarth I don't really see anything wrong with answers like that. But people should understand that not everyone is going to hand it to you on a silver platter.
Personally, I would prefer the conceptual answers that explain what I'm doing wrong.
Is there any acronym/abbreviation support in MarkDown?
I'm not good even in the basics of HTML, but I looked up this and hoped it would work, similarly to how the <img> tag works. It doesn't seem to, at least in the preview.
I'm editing some posts and want to avoid being destructive.
@TimStone Kevin did some digging -- he says you already got that privilege notification in February (whyever -- but apparently you did; I seem to recaul a thusly-related bug though), that's why you didn't get it "again"
@balpha That'd make sense if maybe there was a bug related to CW votes. Either way, as long as the reason was that the system thought I already had gotten it, that makes enough sense to me. Thanks to you for the info, and to Kevin for digging around!
Uh oh, SO elections. The most crazy of all the Town Halls.
@animuson Did you see what happened last election? I'm told casperOne used three chapters of The Great Gatsby as his nomination, but I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information since I stopped reading at the second paragraph.
This is unhelpful:
Especially when the entered text has less than 1200 characters (according to wc -c)!
Now I realise that the site might count differently from wc (for instance wc doesn’t consider line breaks) but this is no excuse to make the UI unhelpful.
If such arbitrary restrictions mu...
@mmyers my plan was to quote that directly, but having trimmed it way down I think the 1200 char limit is a good thing since it forced me to trim out all the "fluffy" words I normally use.
