@RebeccaChernoff /reputation shows total rep 1610, however the site still shows it as 2228, as it did yesterday... According to @waffles' post, this happened sometime last night or today: meta.stackoverflow.com/a/116674/154171

It does see a bit silly that a non-logged chat mechanism does not exist [for non-mods]

I understand how it fits into Jeff's philosophy, but it sees slightly impractical.
@Trufa Was gonna suggest that. I once tried making a python script to generate a whole bunch of strings from a-z then aa-zz etc, ended up taking several days and several gigs. That would work, well beyond your needs.
The URL converter also uses the 1.1 API, so it's possible there's some intermittent issue with the 2.0 API (I think chat was switched over to that) or something.
I said blame, not poke, I'm sure he already knows. ;) Although it is a bit early there still. And a bit late here, time for me to take a break before getting back to work...
Oneboxing in Chat - be it Stack Exchange Chat or Stack Overflow Chat or Meta.SO Chat seems to be broken - questions, answers, users - none of them seem to be Oneboxing.
Other remote URLS seem to work, XKCD for instance. Guess a problem with SE API?
What's up?
Please merge dropdown (1112) into dropdownlist (2207).
Here's a piece of dropdown wiki:
A dropdown list is something which is used to select a value from a given set of options.
Drop down list. So both are assuming the same notion.
In the September 2011, December 2011, and several of the closed site data dumps the tag history is not delimited consistently across all sites. As an example from IT Security:
<row Id="48" PostHistoryTypeId="3" PostId="26" RevisionGUID="6b0fa8fb-4ae4-4d8c-8f91-d0272b10d9e0" CreationDate="20...
@balpha I refreshed and now I'm getting a parseerror notification bar at the top that won't go away...let me disable the userscript to make sure it's not my fault
I bet the changed event handling is getting you. Everytime I click somewhere, I get a popup caused by a live() handler that can't actually be triggerd. That's a mod-only handler, so this is probably the same thing @YiJiangsProble is seeing, except that he's getting a different handler
This is what caught me:
Great :( Starting with version 1.7, jQuery pretends that event delegation doesn't exist anymore. http://jsfiddle.net/XuprW/
At first I had thought they had made good on their promise to remove .data('events')
But it seems that isn't the case, at least.
Hm...unfortunately I really should get ready to go into work now. I'll just cross my fingers and hope no one else notices before I can debug and fix it....Does that ever work?

@Fezziwig You can update to the latest version and it shouldn't do that anymore. It's not really fixed, but I disabled the parts that were breaking (fairly minor things, I think).
I'll take a look when I get home tonight to see if I can figure out exactly what was going on, and hopefully finally push out some other pending feature requests/fixes that've been pending. Hooray for having tomorrow off.
If I were inclined to start a CW post with a list of blacklisted tags, would there be any objections? Also, what's the best way to test if a tag is blacklisted?
@ShawnChin Post a feature-request and as that the info be made public somewhere. If you can demonstrate a use for it, I can't think of any reason to keep it private; it's just one of those little configuration things that was never exposed.
Would it be possible to make the list of blacklisted tags public?
The list would help establish precedence when determining if a tag should be put forward for burnination. This will simply the task of proposing and evaluating a tag-blacklist-request.
For example, when I come across a tag I bel...
So this new feature just got rolled out...
There's a new numerical field in user profiles called "past names" which when clicked will display a dialog listing previous usernames and when they were last used.
That's pretty snazzy. And it almost addresses an issue I brought up a long, long ti...

I agree that lmgty can have an arrogant feel to it. Some days back someone made some comments on my question wondering why on earth I would want to do something like I asked. Didn't feel nice. However, just now I answered a basic python question in a comment. I knew the answer from experience, bu...
