Does that auto validate that, then?

The user has been around for two days, too. I wonder if other spam was posted before.

The user wasn't blacklisted in Metasmoke, so it doesn't look like it

@Jamal Not with that account.

On the same IP, then? or is a spam block an IP block

I didn't look. ;-)

I decided to search for .ir URLs for potential spam, and I did find a spammy link in an otherwise legit post: stackoverflow.com/review/suggested-edits/12869622

Hmm, so what interesting has happened on SE recently?
Apparently not much...

@Quill It's Jamal's fault.

Sounds about right.

If you want to confuse a mod, just make a decent chat flag
those confuse me, because I see them so rarely

Just hang out in Game Dev... the valid chat flags almost always come from there. Or Mathematics.

thanks for the advice, I'll take note! Not sure why you have down rated the post. Being EOFY, it's a fitting QnA. Cheers! — Josh Seabrook 8 mins ago

I don't know why I have private health insurance - everything I don't need to pay for is covered by public medicare (x-rays etc), everything not covered by medicare is not covered by medibank private either (ultra sound etc). I don't tend to get sick and I have never used hospital coverage.

Q: About Asking Ambiguous Question

LordSachaSometimes, we visit stackexchange to ask question that we does not know or wonder what the answer is. However, more often than not, I am asking question without knowing whether an exact answer is available; thus, causing me to accidentally make 'opinion-based' question followed by a bunch of vote...

We want more of this!

10:45 AM
@bjb568isnotapebble you need React serverside
Then just serve React built HTML through Express or something
@bjb568isnotapebble wut

@bjb568isnotapebble wut

@bjb568isnotapebble wut

import express from 'express'
import { renderToString } from 'react-dom/server'
import { Application } from '../components'
const app = express()

app.get('/', function(req, res){
    let app = <Application />
    res.write(renderToString(app))
    res.end()
};

let port = 4444
app.listen(port);
@bjb, React server is easy peasy and you don't have shitty loading render times and massive files to send

@Quill The client doesn't need to download React?

@nicael I can't.

The react is serverside, so you basically generate the React HTML on the server and render that
server side templating rather than client side templating

@TIPS I was just linking the delete-request to your message, not asking you to delete it :)

Well, it's about meta

It's about talking about programming.

most shitty beginner questions are worse without code block

Good idea @Angus, but the thing is that most of these programming questions don't contain proper formatting. So your proposal would help, but only ten percent or what. — TIPS 16 mins ago
I've seen some questions use code block, but most of them don't.

people would just abuse quote blocks to get the code in

That said, I still wonder why the existence of posts that get deleted after five minutes of being posted is important.

I have a better idea! Zing! So if a code block is detected in a meta question from a low rep user, MSE could show a popup asking the user 'is this a programming question?'. Something similar to this:

user202362

2

user202362
the if the user answers yes, the question will be automatically redirected to SO

for reference: clippy programming question

user315433
Being able to file a bug report without prior participation on Meta seems somewhat important.

Yeah, I think people forgot how many programming questions meta got before the rep limit.

user202362
Oh dude, why can't you let people know that they are about to get question banned?

user202362
2:18 PM
2 yellow cards before a red card, that's like every sport in soccer

It's like fight club: first rule of question bans: don't inform people about question bans

user202362
that's more like the first rule of committing a crime - don't let people know that you are about to committing a crime

@Telkitty There should be a warning...

user202362
true

user315433
For example, Web Applications, while it gets an occasional programming question, doesn't have as many as Meta did (before The Notification). What leads them specifically to Meta?

user202362
2:21 PM
SEO?

user202362
meta is higher on searching result?

Something like this:
@Bookend I'm not sure. It happened on mSO too (before the split) even when it was hard to get to mSO (before the bulletin).

user315433
I guess it's having "Stack" as a part of site's name.

user315433
if (/stack/i.test(siteName)) {postProgrammingQuestion();}

Or they just try anywhere. Android Enthusiasts is no exception.

user315433
2:24 PM
But on Android, they ask questions about Android development, right?

user315433
I know that on Web Apps they are webdev questions; I don't see c++ homework there.

user315433
Meta, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have anything to suggest "programming"...

user202362
you can write web apps in C++

user202362
but it's all about probability

user315433
Build a site wordpress or ftp. Hm, a tough choice.

user202362
2:28 PM
Probability of (web app) x (for homework) x (choose to code it in C++) < 5%

I got your point. Not sure how they can arrive at MSE for programming question.
