...Was it in here that I got permission to run a bot that listens to people and tries to figure out how they talk? I could have sworn it was, but I can't find the messages where I talked to one of the mods about it

user248725
Nope, that wasn't it

user248725
That was me asking for a dump of messages flagged as offensive.

user248725
Somewhere, I asked if I could run a bot that listens to all messages, and I got told it'd be fine

user248725
But I can't for the life of me fine it anymore

user248725

Q: Is using a chat an appropriate way to troubleshoot a problem with someone from the main site?

Tumbler41This question comes up because I was trying to think of solutions to a rather specific question, and had several questions for the OP. The comments were getting a bit crowded so I thought that I would create a chat to avoid an unreasonably long comment section. I had intended to do a little troub...

@Telkitty In this day and age, you can feasibly be a software dev and offload most of your work to SO
Some people are literally doing just that. They accept software dev jobs they're unqualified for, and then post assignments on SO

> Instead of relying on algorithms, which we can be accused of manipulating for our benefit, we have turned to machine learning, an ingenious way of disclaiming responsibility for anything. Machine learning is like money laundering for bias. It's a clean, mathematical apparatus that gives the status quo the aura of logical inevitability. The numbers don't lie.
