You don't like dessert? I don't... how can that... what?

@AnnaLear OMG, you don't like dessert? I LOVE dessert, especially those rose shaped butter cream vanilla cakes, coconut gelato ... did I tell you about my favourite: unicorn shaped cheese plate? The thrill I get when I put that fork into unicorn's head, then with two quick strikes, chopping off the butt and head off. With the tip of the fork, I will then pick the torso up, and put the gourmet cheese unicorn into my mouth & let it melt.

Of course everything has to be served with either green or peppermint tea. Or sometimes ... with Rosé

Just another indicator that you spend too much time around here: when people you know see signs like that and immediately think of sending them to you.
> Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn. Then be a unicorn.

I think I've had a minor case of serial-downvoting (3 downvotes 3 days ago), could a moderator take a look for me? stackoverflow.com/users/438886/roberto-tyley?tab=reputation

12:00 PM
3 downvotes are not really serial downvoting... anyway, i don't see suspicious votes on your account

serial downvoting?
Detectable?

give the detection script 24 hours or so and we'll find out

4:28 PM
Is there a consequence to the down-voter?

4:47 PM
@GoZoner not unless they do something like this repeatedly. otherwise the votes get reversed and that's that.

s/not/only/? ;)

Q: How to avoid polar bear in Antarctica?

KMCI would like to visit Antarctica, but worry polar bear may chase after me. How to avoid being attacked by polar bear?

This is awesome.

5:26 PM
The obvious answer would be "Don't take your polar bear with you."

@DanielFischer But he gets lonely :(

In that case, he should take enough seals with him to fend off the bear when necessary.

@animuson Lunch?

8:00 PM
@jadarnel27 That's my survival kit for the 7-7 shift I'm working tonight. :P

@Shog9 - I came in here as opposed to continuing the comment thread below my answer as you suggested. I feel from my end like that discussion helped my understanding of the new close feature changes. I just have one more question about your last comment. For the two examples resulting in "No", what would be the best close reason for that type of scenario?

@TravisJ I'm sorry; can you link to the thread? Too much going on right now, I... don't actually remember what I wrote ;-P

@TravisJ Too broad for the first. The last is probably unclear, but there are also probably cases that can't easily be closed under either the new or old system without deviating from the intent a bit.

Fair enough. Thanks :)

8:11 PM
Too Localized would've been the go-to reason under the old system, but that doesn't accurately describe the problem either (which isn't so much that the asker has specific requirements as it is that he's done a poor job of laying them out in a fashion that can be conclusively answered).
Of course, those examples were caricatures anyway, so I can say whatever I want about them ;-)

8:28 PM
@animuson I hope you're not planning on consuming those at the same time, that's the worst

gotta throw salted roasted peanuts into the mix

@Shog9: I do have those... They'd probably be a healthier snack than Skittles, eh?

I wouldn't guarantee that.
Probably depends a lot on your current health

Fun fact, my girlfriend bought some Skittles at Walmart the other day and the register listed the product as "Sugar"

that's the bulk of most candy
IIRC, it's literally the definition of candy
if it's not mostly sugar, it's something else

8:35 PM
current health == underweight

8:50 PM
@animuson I meant more, do you need more salt and protein? Then yes to the peanuts. If you just need more sugar, then stick with the soda and candy.
if you need more weight, then... chinese take-out and birdshot?

My doctor would say I need more food in general. :P Most days I only even eat one meal.

not staying having difficulty formatting a post. codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/27738/… the imports don't show as part of code. If I use<code><pre> it shows as nested code.

@YiJiang - Any chance that you could attach a license to your Wheel of Blame, I'd love to pinch it and make a version for my colleagues...

@MarkBooth: Clearly you should build a real one. Then, use the intercom system to announce that the wheel is about to be spun for <insert reason here> and all may gather around the wheel to witness who is to blame.

Wes
I might suggest that at work

Yup, we could tie it into Jira and spin it every time a new ticket gets created. *8')

Wes
@animuson I think this means a phyisical one?

10:25 PM
I also like the idea of a halibut bucket next to one of the robots, so anyone making a commit without a good enough commit message gets a good slap

Let's suggest this to Pekka. He can start selling blame wheels with insertable name cards.

I so need to get my reprap built. *8')

O powers that be, I beseech thee, bring back too localized or some variation thereof.
