@ShadowWizard we are still looking for the change of contrast in Chem.SE ...
I can understand people are busy but they said 8-10 days so it begins to be a bit long

8 hours later…
8:00 AM
@Hexacoordinate-C yeah, most bugs that are not critical wait for years before being fixed or even looked at. I was really surprised a developer replied, but looks like he can't really fix it on his own, so I'm afraid it won't be fixed any time soon. (i.e. it falls back to several years, like all bugs.)
(e.g. he needs to consult others, test stuff, see what other things break - the usual cycle.)

2 hours later…
10:01 AM
@ShadowWizard Have @ber play with @ber.

comes in
kills everyone
sits ideally, enjoying tea
gets reminded that he has a story to tell
so, here it goes @Sha, the four day drinking spree
It was the evening of 3rd of February, 2017. Around 3-4 pm, I arrived at my friend's house. He was to get married on 5th of February. Now, when I arrived at home, he was out shopping, with other relatives (who drink with us). So, I had nothing to do, and went on to a place, where dishes were being half cooked and other things were being prepared for next day
After spending my evening there, meeting some political people (since next day were elections), we finally met. Straightaway, he told me, lets get on with it.
We were around 5 guys, and given a separate room in separate house (my friend's family own it) for our drinking parties and so it began
We drank on the night of 3rd and 5 of us finished two whiskey bottles that night. Next day (on the 4th) we woke up and regular pre-wedding functions occupied everyone till early evening. My other friends also arrived and we sat to drink again in evening. As we were drinking, more people kept arriving and from those, eligible drinkers were sent to our house. It was around this time, that I lost the track of bottles we were finishing.
Later that evening, it was jago, and after that DJ night. After drinking before those programs, we went on to the main house, where everything was happening. Three more of my friends came. My friend (who's marriage it was) handed me another full whiskey bottle, and asked me to take care of the other three that arrived.
We went to their roof and finished that bottle in next 15-20 minutes. After that, we left for jaago. No drinking during that. When we arrived back at DJ, we started drinking in turns. We were dancing, and after few minutes, we would go back to drink some, then we'd come back to dance, then go back to drink again. Around 3-4 hours passed like that and we went to sleep
We woke up next day (THE WEDDING DAY). Nothing for use since morning, so we were getting bored. In late afternoon, we started drinking again. Around 6 of us finished 2 more bottles. Then we got ready and left for marriage. After arriving at the venue, we entered it at around 11.30 pm and drinking and dancing started again. From 11.30 onwards, we were doing all the things (the responsibilities that are transferred to friends) and drinking at-least 2-3 doubles every 15 minutes.
This continued till 4:30 in the morning. After that, wedding was finished, and we headed back for home. Sleeping till the afternoon, eating something in evening, we again went back to drinking when the night arrived. It was again 5 of us (not the same ones though) and we finished around 2.5 bottles.
next morning we came back to work
And I should tell you, that apart from DJ night, none of us was drunk enough to even stumble on his feet.
...and hence it concludes

11:53 AM
whoa
@Dro you're hereby granted the title Drinker - use it wisely!

Man... that drinking skill is legendary. :D
I had like 5 shots of vodka and fell apart. lol
But how did you manage to take so much time off work?
And why didn't you invite @ber? (HEY! @ber isn't pingable!!!)
Or @Joe?

@ShadowWizard Umm.....in India, marriages are grand affairs. They last for 3-4 days normally. And so are the leaves. A 3-4 day occasional leave(like every 6 months) isn't much. Also, I only took two holidays (friday and monday). Rest was the weekend. Lucky me ;)
thanks @Sha for the legendary skill badge

@DroidDev whoa.... so work isn't so hard if you can take so much holiday. ;)

that friend is my old college time friend. We did diploma and graduation together and after that we live at same place, just work at different places in same city. We are still flat mates. Ber isn't a common friend
@ShadowWizard work is hard, I on the other hand, don't take much pressure from it. If I have to go on a leave, I have to go, that's just it. No use taking pressure from workload. I can somehow manage to separate professional life from personal one, like 90% of the times

@DroidDev that's a good skill :)
@JoErNanO nah, actually not eating Kosher food myself. :)
Wonder how this became HNQ though. lol

@ShadowWizard yeah, trying to teach my girlfriend that. Because work pressure keeps her irritated even at home (sometimes). But, she just care too much about her company (you know girls, all serious and that ;))

12:07 PM
totally....
She is also a programmer? @Dro

naah, she is in HR department's hiring team. So, she has to call people, like all day long, and then meet targets

ouch... not a nice job
I mean... interacting with so many people must be hard.
And many probably upset with her when they're not hired, etc

yeah, but a comfortable one, if you put enough hours. You just do same thing everyday. Eventually, people do join/get selected, since they are also looking for jobs/positions to fill.
Also, HR people can get huge packages, because they can move to management easily. Lots of scope. What would you do after getting to the post of Project Manager? ;)

@DroidDev tru dat

1 hour later…
1:30 PM
@ShadowWizard Because Travel is HNQ!
